How about why a significant percentage of the curriculum of a game design college being Pro-LGBTQ literature?

How many of the designers of Veilguard graduated from colleges that promoted that trash?

Was it a significant percentage? I thought Henry posted the curriculum online. Either way, there's a ton of Western games that don't have any woke content so clearly it's a choice. I don't really see the issue, people can just tune out during that course and take in information that they think is more important. I think that's the point of college, to introduce people to a lot of different ideas.

Either way, there's a ton of Western games that don't have any woke content so clearly it's a choice. I think that's the point of college, to introduce people to a lot of different ideas.

or better yet, they could just not take the classes in the first place. the (three!) courses w/ any queer & feminist theory, gender theory, and/or other contemporary cultural/economic/political theoretical readings are electives, so a student would legit need to purposefully sign up for those courses to be exposed to the material.

I saw a bunch of articles the other day about the Dragon Age developer explaining the games financial failure on the lack of live service. I thought that was kind of funny since clearly that is not at all why it bombed.

Even if you overlooked the weird way they shoehorned in the “wokeness” stuff, it just looked like a bad game to me. The art direction was all off. It looked like visual vomit based in purples. The gameplay looked like trash. People don’t by Dragon Age games for that genshin impact looking shit. Then of course there has been a bunch of examples of how awkward the writing was.

The character models initially made me think that it was some cheap mobile game offshoot.

Wokeness in general wouldn't be such a problem, if the other consequence to having woke writers/developers wasn't a bland product. They're deathly afraid of offending anyone, and have some wholesome school marm mentality, where everything is "Magical Sparkle Land" where nobody loses and everyone is unnecessarily bubbly and cheerful, with no negativity to be seen. A big complaint of modern RPG's with "choice" systems, is that you only get to choose between being "really good" and "good". That's a product of these types of people getting to run the ship. They filter everything into safe, dull and bland dogshit.
