I think what's happened here and in many places, in senior folks get presentations from big consulting firms that peddled this stuff and the leadership says "oh yeah, sounds like we need to do this or fall behind". Except it looks like the mind-numbingly stupid hactivists are falling out of favor fast. Too bad so much damage has been done. Companies usually have to much pride to rehire the folks that probably got painfully railroaded out of their jobs there to make room for this idiots.

Hundred percent. It's why the corporate world became obsessed with so many demographic categories EXCEPT age -- because they cost more. And funny enough, even the most fervent purple haired hacktivist had no problem with discriminating against people based on age, while of course virtue signaling to no end for every other demographic and pretended to be fighting fascism. LOL. And it's all backfiring so often and so bad companies in all sorts of industries are having to abandon ship. But so much damage has already been done though.

And it's interesting a Chinese student objected to it, because such subjects are not taught in China... because they're already communist.
They're subjects meant to divide the population based off of race, sex, sexuality because their purposes is to divide rather than unite.

Not at all surprising this is being taught in a game design university in a western nation, because Marxists love to indoctrinate young and impressionable minds and turn them into zealots.

The fact they won't give even a millimeter when people who ascribe to their world views do ridiculously stupid things is more telling about them than the people they make the ad hominen attacks about
