That quote is insane. This is why according to poll data Americans often overestimate the amount of people that identify as LGBT. I believe they do so because they’re actually overrepresented at this point. Real statistics show trans people make up just 1 percent or slightly less and gay/ lesbian about 5 percent. If the gaming industry wanted to reflect real life representation there should actually be a push to include less in my opinion. Hard disagree with the gaming crash though, still so many studios that don’t think this way. Most from east Asia don’t do any of this stuff and I find them the most fun anyway
No, not really. Surveys of Americans by generation, including ones that allow for anonymity, more often peg it this way:
- >1% = Greatest Generation
- ~1% = Baby Boomers
- 4%-6% = Gen X
- 8%-12% = Millennial
- 20%-28% = Generation Z
I have long supported gay rights, but I have also not withheld my concern over the emerging trend seeking to openly foster homosexual feelings where there are none, and to inculcate the youngest generation into believing they lie on a "spectrum" implying they are by definition instrinsically bisexual to a degree. This is bullshit. Many leftists, who don't want to admit these figures have incontrovertibly undermined the long-accepted argument by advocates that homosexuality isn't environmentally influenced, have dug their heels into the ground by insisting that we were always at least this much gay, but people were afraid to admit it. They repeat it every time the numbers go up. It never made sense because people were never asked to openly declare their identities in these surveys/studies. This is true even when the double-blind methodology is implemented.
It's time to draw a line in the sand. There is an unmistakeable agenda here among a proactive group of people to persuade the world we're all just gay if we would simply be honest with ourselves. They have a very powerful presence in the videogame industry.
Think I'm exaggerating? I'm not. Recently, there was a show called
The Magicians that ran from 2015-2020 that was sometimes described as 'Harry Potter for the kids who read that books that grew up.' In other words, Harry Potter after hitting puberty, where our priority naturally becomes sex. It was a sex soap opera aimed at adolescents and young twenty-somethings. The main character, the equivalent of Harry Potter, Quentin, who at first is presented as a straight character, cheats on his girlfriend in a threesome that involves another man (this homosexual behavior is later repeated without the girl). Also, in a later season, due to an enchantment, Quentin lives an entire lifetime in a committed relationship with the male from that threesome as a couple, even raising a surrogate daughter. While solving a magical puzzle unravels the spell, the nature of the story is that the timeline still happened, and is subconsciously remembered, then later recalled by Quentin. Yet, despite this, even after this happens in the series, his lover later describes him as a "straight male".
Straight males don't have sex with other men. Not even once. They certainly don't choose a gay partner for life. It's absurd. But that was a deliberate message those showrunners wanted to ingrain in their viewers-- these teenage Harry Potter fans grown up. "It's okay if you fuck a guy, it just happens, sometimes, maybe more than once, it doesn't mean you're not 'straight'. You're totally normal. It's just normal behavior to be sexually fluid. You can be gay for a night, or a month, or a lifetime, but straight later. Yeah, you're straight whenever you want to be. It's fluid."
And that's a word they love to use. Fluid. It's the concept they seek to instill. Until they can dispense with that when the ultimate goal is achieved: convincing everyone we're all gay, really, down deep, and that could be our decision on any given night. This is very much the mindset and culture they seek to nurture. It's not a mistake.
And here I have reached the limit of my tolerance. I will not tolerate it. Because it's not true. It's psychosexual grooming, and it disgusts me.
