Villains that you agree with

Magneto and Doctor Doom are the two who spring immediately to mind.

In Doom War, the Panther God, Bast, looks at Doom's soul...and pronounces him worthy of taking all of Wakanda's Vibranium. Because he knows that, evil and ruthless though Doom is, he genuinely wants to build a better future for mankind. Even if he has to drag humanity there by the scruff of the neck, kicking and screaming.

How come when Thanos snapped, half the trees didn't dissapear? If we're going with the idea that life is anything that's biologically consuming cosmic energy that the universe needs to survive, that doesn't apply to just human-like creatures.

He targeted "souls" out of revenge. A single star consumes more energy than a planet full of humans by like 400 trillion times. I don't buy we have to kill everyone to make life better.
Because in the comics he killed half to impress Lady Death who hasn't responded to his advances.

That would've been a bit to drastic for the MCU so they had to invite some halfassed pseudo philosophical shit.

I was hoping they were going to use Hela as Thanos's Lady Death, she was actually one of the better MCU villians and I hate she was such a quick one and done.

In the vastness of the universe, there are millions of empty planets. It would be easy to snap a few of them to habitable or tweak a technology to allow certain beings to survive in different environments - like a Tesla underwater dome house.
You're not getting it, bro. People are annoying. Remove half and the universe is 50% less annoying.

The crusaders. Portrayed as the villains in kingdom of heaven and other Hollywood trash.
They were just trying to allow christian pilgrims to travel to Jerusalem again.

Then to take Jerusalem back.

Then it got a bit blurry ... they created Krak.

Now that I think about it there is absolutely no movies about muslims invasions of Europe. No sarrazins subjugating Spain, no Turks invading Greece and Balkans.

They'd make great villains, shame.

And Charlemagne fucking them up would make a great hero. Instead it's always the baddie Vlad the impaler. Bleh.

Not from a movie but from a video game, Wiegraf Folles from Final Fantasy Tactics.

"All such tales of gods and their miracles are false. Those who would lead prefer that history suit their needs, and rewrite it to see that it does. And why shouldn't they? The fault lies not with them. The reeking masses yearn for gods and miracles. It is their opiate, and they consume it greedily. The people do not endeavor towards greatness, but rather mire themselves in their petty strife's - shackles on the feet of man. Their leaders give them no more than that for which they clamor. It is history's oldest and most oft-repeated tale. Do men exploit this weakness to dominate their fellows? Mayhap they do. But they succeed only because the people are eager to know such dominion. Gods are only illusions born of man's fear. It is they who see this charade for what it is and join in the pageantry who are to blame."

The guy from Titanic trying to marry Rose and getting cucked by Leo. Must be frustrating to invest time and money into a chick only to get played.
This is where movies steer guys wrong. If you gotta do all that she doesn’t really want you. They make it easy when they do.
