Video on correcting hip shift

Love these type of vids. Saving and watching tonight.

I'm not really fluent on "hip shift". Before I watch a 40min vid, is this something that can be considered synonymous, or at least related, to lateral pelvic tilt? I have had issues with the latter.

It's worth watching tbh. I'm only 10 minutes in and enjoying the fuckle out of it.

Yessir. Basically your hips and the load shift off to one side during some portion of the movement

I'm always skeptical of these videos where people can't do any movement then 30s later they get full range of motion. I've never had that kind of improvement and I've never seen someone in person with that kind of improvement. Just feels like they are sandbagging it to start.

Some might be, but the neurological system is often what impedes movement. Some work via reciprocal inhibition, others via relaxing target muscles, providing ischemic release, freeing up any fascial adhesions (debatable recently, but effective still), changing the NS output, etc. Some might seem finicky, but most methods work well and beyond placebo.

To demonstrate an idea, Stand and ABduct one leg to 90 degrees while keeping your pelvis as neutral as possible. Next, do the same with the other leg. 90 +90 = 180 degrees right? Now, try doing the splits, you likely wont be able to unless you already have good hip mobility and no anatomical impedances. This is your neuro system telling you it doesn't feel you are strong enough or capable of getting out of the position, so instead it tries hard to not allow you to get into it to begin with.
