Video Joe Warren vs Darrion Caldwell insane suplex + submission (Bellator 151)

That was fun to watch.

Why do people keep posting links to that shit site? Just link the youtube videos

One of the most beautiful German Suplexes in MMA however, not to piss on Caldwells parade but what counts as an illegal head slam in this sport? I've seen everything including literal piledrivers but don't remember seeing anyone penalised for dropping another guy on their head.

at one point I believe the rule was no "spiking" and involved the trajectory of it...since then Ive seen some pretty questionable ones ((belcher vs cote comes to mind)) that no one said anything about being illegal so I guess my understanding of it is wrong....I would think Sapp on Big Nog would be not allowed lol

One of the worst head spikes i've ever seen is this one:

bad reffing, the guy was out for 7 seconds, all the while the winner squeezed with all he had.

Not sure if you're implying that's illegal, but in case you are:

a) The guy whose head gets "spiked" there is in complete control of the position and could have released the submission attempt at any point to avoid the collision.
b) From what I can find on it, technically the head spike rule is the same as the 12-6 elbow one in that the person getting spiked has to be completely inverted(legs facing upward, head facing downward) and be slammed at a 12-6 angle. If there's an arc to the throw / slam it's legal.

Thats near enough 12-6 upon landing.

Wasn't implying it was illegal, just posting it because it was relevant to the discussion about brutal head spikes.

These are others I found that are in fact illegal:

this. the head spike rule more or less is referring to things close to pro wrestling piledrivers.

It's not 12-6 as there's an arc to it, plus he's not slammed from an inverted position, he's just inverted upon impact. The examples @Thesnake101 posted are basically spikes.

As far as the head's trajectory is concerned, the difference is basically as follows:

I had no idea about this, good to now. Does it applies for all US events or just specific ones?
