Video gamers making $ (update)

Will check out your vids. You should make vids with tips and stuff (don't know shit about madden). Casual gamers seach for that stuff and are less likely to watch a vid of someone just playing.

Have you looked into corporate sponsorship? Who sponsers other pro gamers? Good luck man
 
I am curious, if you continue on this path for a few years, whether you'd still be as enthusiastic about playing games for a living or it'd become a job.

Nice work dude. That's the kind of shit you need.

Keep making videos like that and you'll hopefully attract more viewers. Since you're going for a more educational approach, as opposed to entertainment, I'd think it'd be a good idea to promote your videos on specifically video game forums, especially Madden forums (which I assume exist). Although, I'd wait till your library of videos is a little bigger before promoting yourself further.

I imagine it's quite hard to develop an audience with this kind of stuff, and it's probably a bit of luck involved, but just like with anything else, the best practice is just perseverance. If you're serious about this thing, put in the work, be consistent and hopefully you'll start making some money off it eventually.
 
cool. I want to be a professional gamer but I don't put enough time in. my game of choice is strategy, StarCraft 2. I play 2 vs 2.

the new season started like a week ago. there are different leagues for skill level. Bronze, silver, gold , platinum, diamond and master.

each league has multiple divisions and each division has 100 players.

I started playing on the European servers because there is a much higher skill level. even though I hardly play, i managed to make the highest possible 2v2 rank in a couple days, rank 1 master.

I've tried starting a stream in the past but unless you already have viewers it's hard to get new ones.

2vs2 isn't nearly as popular as 1vs1 but I don't really like 1vs1.

I'm hoping in the future I can gain a following and maybe make some extra cash
 
There is a guy I play with regularly, protech, who's also a top 2v2 player. He has a toxic personality but has 21000 followers and makes 3k a month. That should be me
 
Thanks everyone. The issue on a madden forum is that everyone's ego is huge and fragile all at once. Most would rather skim YouTube or google then be in a forum and get tips. Unless you are well known.

This year I beat the most well known guys and am slowly becoming known. I am gonna upload a second money play with commentary tomorrow.

Always the jackasses. Lol. Idk about those games but in madden its the ego maniacs who have followers. They also have won huge tournaments.

I posted my big winnings to show I can win big money games and vs top players as well. My game vs serious moe is getting a lot views. Why? Cuz he is one of the best this yr.

I'd try to beat the best in your game and promote and then promote you own plays.

Ah the good old days.

COD 4, MW 2 and MW 3 I was excellent at those games. If I wasn't first, I was always at least in the top 3.

The Black Ops series don't hold a candle to the Modern Warfare series. And Advanced Warfare and World at War were terrible.
