Video gamers making $ (update)

Btw, TS. As others here have said, you definitely need commentary for your videos. It's youtube's guidelines, if you don't have commentary and your channel starts picking up, your channel will be taken down for copyright.

If you have commentary, without pausing more than 20 seconds or so on your videos, then it's not copyright. It's ridiculous, I know, good luck.

I've just made a youtube channel as well, which I might be able to make profit from. Check my sig, haha.
 
I was on a 100+ win streak in fight night 2. No ones plays anymore but id destroysnyone st that.

Never knew that. I hate commentary in gaming vids (I watch because I can't play), and the one guy I subscribe to does only no-commentary vids and has ~500,000 subscribers.

Twitch let's you make more cash than Youtube. From what I was told, in Youtube you basically need a lot of viewers and a good Youtube partner to make the dough. However, in Twitch most of your revenue stream comes straight from your suscribers tips or something.

The sum up was something like Youtube is easier to monetize but Twitch has a better % deal for the channel owners.

gf streams a few nights a week on twitch playing LoL
average week thats probably 15 hours of streaming and about 150$ in donations, so like 10 bucks an hour to play games. it keeps going up tho, im expecting to retire soon and have her support me.

Gaming YT channels are so 5 years ago. Kinda late to the game bro. Also lol at people who watch others play games. Plebs I tell ya.

Only time I watch someone playing a game is if I search gameplay of a game I want to buy/try.
 
OK I added a mic game clip. This is for you mushishi. :)

I just did 3 minute clip cuz he went mute after 1st q. And then he randomly pop up. Lol
