Vettori vs Dolidze 2 PBP

Coin flip round. Vettori landing more clean strikes, but Dolidze's are getting some big reactions, even when they don't land clean.

Id' score that for Dolidze. Either 1-1 or 2-0 Dolidze IMO

1-1 I think, Dolidze got the second for sure.

Marvin needs to go back to the leg kicks and body kicks, wonder if he hurt his leg on a couple of the checks in the first and it scared him off.

Marvin abandoning his grappling a whole ago has confused me. He's not an insane sub threat but it's one of the better parts of his game. His punches aren't great, his kicks are decent, I feel like in abandoning it he's lost a big part of his game.

Though I say that and he just dropped Dolidze...

I have been watching the fight, but haven't paid close attention.

R1: no idea
R2: no idea
R3: Vettori? He did the damage early, but then did nothing after that. Dolidze kept the pressure after getting stung.

round 1 anyone's game
round 2 anyone's game
round 3 vetori probably - vetori who has like 1 kd in his entire ufc career, kd's dolidze of all people in round 3. welcome to the game

Vettori nabbed the third with that knockdown.
Could be 2-1 for either.
Marvin was breathing heavy though and Dolidze seemed to recover well.

2-1 Vettori.

Think Dolidze is headhunting too much. He's missing alt on that big right hand, I'd like to see him throw it to the body, it's open and a bigger target, lot a power behind it and I think a couple of those to the body would slow Vettori and actually open it up to land up top.

roman STOP TRAINING with jon jones fuck sake

round 1 anyone's game
round 2 anyone's game
round 3 vetori probably - vetori who has like 1 kd in his entire ufc career, kd's dolidze of all people in round 3. welcome to the game

R4: Dolidze

Roman Dolidze is -380 to -550 heading into R5, depending on the book.

2 a piece. Vettori slowed down that round, doesn't bode well for him.

Round 3 Vettori,
Round 2+4 Dolidze.
Round 1 a coinlip.
So either 2-2 or 3-1 Dolidze
Edit: finally added a Vettori hedge at +300. Just in case

basically any score between 48-47 either ways is possible. hopeful for ROMAN!!!!!

my personal score is 48-47 dolidze. rd 2, 4 5.

R4: Dolidze

R4: Dolidze (Roman Dolidze is -380 to -550 heading into R5, depending on the book.)
R5: Dolidze (Vettori gave everything he had in the first 40 seconds of the round.)

I guess Roman Dolidze won.

All three scoring it 4-1?
I'll take it. The night started a bit rough, but ended up very nice!
Edit: a crazy night for the dogs!

Great night overall. I won my Vallejos/Blackshear parlay and then won $990 on PrizePicks. Only negative is losing the long shot parlay, but that was bound to happen since so many underdogs won tonight.

Should be a clear 3-2 Dolidze at worst, possibly 4-1.

Marvin stopping the low kicks after the first let him down. I think he's become too one dimensional, just likes getting in brawls and slugging it out.

He needs a corner that will be able to get him out of that habit. He's tough enough to survive those brawls but he does himself a disservice doing it. His kicks are the best part of his stand up, his strong top game is a credit to his game but he's seemingly abandoned it for good to slug it out despite not really having power to finish fights.

He's not going to fight for a title unless he addresses this. He's still relatively young enough to fix it but either his corner needs to sit him down and explain he needs to change up his game or he needs to find a team who can advise him properly.

He can eat shots and I imagine just slugging it out is fun but he needs to fight smart if he wants to make a run, just being one dimensional isn't going to cut it at the top level.
