Opinion Very weird article about Obama

Obama was always more “conservative” than this board pretended he was. A lot of the things you see here are massive exaggerations or flat out misrepresentations of his attitudes.

Not at all. The criticism of obama here is more than fair. He was a terrible president who drowned the nation in debt and divided the country racially on many different fronts.

My Brother's Keeper really encapsulates Obama's views on race and class. Barry doesn't believe there is any need for a serious structural critique of market capitalism or that there is anything wrong with massive wealth and income inequality.

He simply believes there should be mechanisms in place to make sure that the exceptionally high performing poor receive a helping hand out of the ghetto. But the ghetto and the vast majority of its inhabitants will and must remain. So everyone can see who the "winners" and "losers" are. To the average joe Obama can only say, "Sorry for ya, brother. You didn't make the Ivy League cut."

I disagree with the "must remain" part but the rest is probably true.

You do know that Obama deficit was half of Trump's when he left office?

You guys are still fucking blaming Obama for becoming president after Bush, who made Stalin look like a competent leader.

Obama's trillion dollars deficit was 100% driven by financial recession.

Trump is the big spender buddy. I know facts hurt sometimes.

A lot of hip-hop and rap music is built around me showing how I got more money than you, I can disrespect you and you can’t do nothing about it, I’m going to talk about you and punk you,” Obama said. In addition, he criticized the objectification of women and sexual immorality promoted by hip-hop.

I grew up influenced by hip-hop in many of the negative ways that the former president described. But I learned to make excuses for myself because I embraced a certain moral relativism, telling myself that it was OK for me to hurt myself and others because of how unfair the world was to me.

In the worldview promoted by both hip-hop and today's Democratic politics, it's as if young men of color are morally irrelevant because we are simply passengers on a train controlled by others, with no say in where we are going.

Looks like Barack is trying to rebuild his crumbled legacy by bringing a voice to some serious issues in black culture. Good for him.

Did this post make you feel better about Obama's reckless spending?

A lot of wisdom in Obama's remarks there. Has he said this stuff before? He should've said this when he was president. Because the metoo lgbtq left's hypocrisies on Islam is more to the forefront them ignoring hip-hop culture or even elevating it is aslmost as hypocritical.
I understand it but too many people like this writer are jsut too defensive and feel no criticism is warranted because of systematic oppression, etc. I think dialogues like this while still acknowledge racism can help bridge some of the culture divide.

I grew up on the music in the 90's it really wasn't as bad as it has become today though it still glorified those things.

Too bad Obama didn't have the balls to say this stuff during his presidency.

His spending wasn't wreckless. He was a gate keeper.

Also for spending to be wreckless, fake monopoly money would actually have to have a consequence for generating it out of thin air, for that to be true.

There obviously is no consequence. 17 trillion dollars in one day my friend. That is how much fake electronic money was generated in 24 hours to cover the banksters fraud.

Nevermind the 20 Trillion the FED, and European banks printed, not Obama.

Run the deficit to 100 Trillion. It doesn't matter. Our banking system isn't real. It isn't a marketplace. It exists decoupled from any reality.

I couldn't agree more. A demographic plagued by low-education, low income, high pregnancy rate, high STD rate, high incarceration rates being forcefed absolutely filthy music/culture that glamorizes polygamy, crime, and most retarded form of "materialism" in form of bling/cars/and houses. What could possibly go wrong.

Hope that more black leaders speak on on this shit. I think Obama spoke out because he doesn't GAF about backlash now that he's out of the office. He's doing the right thing.

This soon-to-be-deported British shitstain was nominated for an award producing this kind of filth:

lmao ok obama. you are the same guy that hangs around former drug dealer jayz and invites him to white house.

First time I have agreed with him.

Utter trash. The cultural aspects of most popular music and hip hop is garbage. It literally makes you dumber after having listening to it.

Wait, who are these 'banksters' you speak of?

The FED, the European Central banks, the international bank for Monetary settlements, the World bank, ect.

The board members of these institutions are the banksters.
