I know a lot of people dislike venum gear but I was curious as to why.

Because the price is high, the craftsmaship is very bad, the performance is bad too, the design (graphics) is weird.

Extremely overpriced generic gear.

Venum is almost an enigma to me. I owned the Power boxing gloves. It was the only true boxing glove they've ever made. It was a good glove, but should've been $20-30 cheaper.

Stitching is so-so. Lines tend to run, loose threads, random QC shit that gets under my skin. I'll give them credit on the padding though. I smashed my gloves to bits and pieces, and even then they still had some life in them. I gave them to a kid in the neighborhood and he's used them no problem for 6-8 months.

Also venum is notorious for luring you in with marketing. There's literally no difference in design throughout their whole collection, yet they wrap things in bows and glitter. A skintex glove is only $15 cheaper, but skintex should not be that expensive

Are theythai or paki made

Also wtf is nappa leather

I have A LOT of Venum items in my wardrobe.

I can tell you they are great in design and last long.

Expensive but i feel it's ok.They are much better looking than other brands.

I just got these a few days ago,

That's my input about the clothing gear though, haven't purchased gloves from them yet.

Made in Thailand. Nappa leather is just a high quality industry standard. It's like saying band-aid which is trademarked by J&J when you mean to say adhesive bandage.

Nappa is durable, soft, and easy to dye.

I love their shorts, no experience with their other gear.

I gotta vouch for their performance apparel. Venum's parent company Blue Dragon is based out of France and they are very forward thinking in terms of a style and performance balance. The gear feels like an afterthought. Venum is,imo, first and foremost a fashion company.

Yeah their parent company is Dragon Bleu to be exact(appears on cc statement).
Their designs are exemplary.

i love there shorts i have a pair of the all sport usa edition they look awesome and are so comfortable they stay in place and never slide.

i just bought a pair of gloves the other day as well. ppl saying its over priced i think they have the best looking products on the market as to it being a great product i can say there fight shorts are definitely

How do the gloves perform PowerBJJ? You planning to review them?

i wish i could afford that... poor me.

I tried on a set of venum gloves I actually liked. My sparring partners brother owns a pair. Im not sure what the model was or what the price was but they were gold in color. Ive been looking into reviews and most of what im reading is bad. I hear theyre way overpriced. Im looking for something to replace my rival rs2v gloves.

im curious wear ppl are reading these bad reviews ive only found positive reviews

You probably had the venum wave.

I have a pair of 16oz Venum Amazonia gloves. Had them over a year now, hitting the bag nearly every day and they're still in good condition. Durable gloves, nice cushy padding. Good for sparring. They seem heavier than my 16oz everlast ones though, less aerodynamic maybe?
