By the time he fights Browne on the 9th of July he will have only fought once in 33 months, in which fight he didn't prepare seriously and got destroyed.

I remember when Cain was a Mike Kerr-like smashing machine with devastating wrestling domination, top control and huge volume of strikes. What a sad turn his career has taken.

Now he's still only 33, which is by no means old for an HW. Browne is a big name and a good opportunity for him to get active again and get his name back out there and show he is still relevant.

On the other hand if he delays this fight with injury again, or comes in unprepared, or gives a weak performance then no one could really give him any more chances.

I don't know which Velasquez to expect. I would like to believe that he will be 'back'. But I don't know.

He is "old" physically because his very prone to injury as has gone through wars in the UFC and during training sessions at AKA.
Same thing could be said for the only 26 year old "veteran" of mma Rory Mcdonald.

33 is old, if you train full time like Crossfitter, and have had multiple major surgeries over the past several years. Cain's body probably only has a few good years left it in IMO.

I agree, the post fight press conference did not potray him the be less of a fucking douche! Cain, " take his fucking head off". Whop that ass even worse then what Arlowski did, make him bleed more then what Big foot Silva did the second time you finished him.

It is a shame how much of his fight career he has lost to injuries thus far cause he really is a special talent for a HW. And at his age, he could very well be started on the decline soon. Not saying he's there yet, as 1 poor fight isn't a good sample size could have just been an off night. But the plethora of injuries he's had can't lend well to career longevity.
