Media Vasyl Lomachenko Rips Conor McGregor's Boxing, I Can Beat Him Easy

Yes he was, yes thats true
it doesn't change the fact that Conor almost went to a decision with Floyd

despite the Boxing community wishing that Floyd finished him fast and easy, and even throwing out silly hyperbole
"he could have finished him in the 1st if he wanted to", "he carried him on purpose"
he did carry him on purpose lol, what about that is hard to believe?

I'm a fan of Conor the fighter, but I don't think he can hang at all at the top of boxing. I don't think those 10 rounds with Floyd proved that he could, watching them I think it proves he can't. I mean, maybe he can hang in terms of getting most of the way through the fight with them, but give Conor 10 top boxers and he's losing 9.5 of those fights. IMO of course.

Anyway I doubt we'll convince each other of our viewpoints, we've each said our piece. I think I'll move on. Cheers bud.

Loma is a better wrestler than Conor and has trained kickboxing plenty. And lol @ saying it would be easier to kick Loma than say Dennis Siver or Chad Mendes.
MMA Boxing is vastly different than traditional boxing. Denis Siver and Chad Mendes are more prepared and better equipped to deal with kicks. And Lomachenko has displayed absolutely zero MMA wrestling, or ability to translate his wrestling background into MMA. To think or even suggest that Lomachenko is a better MMA fighter than established MMA fighters is the perspective of a fan, nothing more— not someone who has actually trained.

Boxing experience and wrestling experience do not equate to MMA experience.

no, its ridiculous to treat it as if it was an actual boxing match.

You must not watch much boxing, ill let this slide if that's the case
2 fighters fought under boxing rules, its a boxing match

Yes I watch boxing, have you ever been in a Boxing match? I have. I also made 7 amateur boxing champions when I started coaching. They always gave us a hard time because we were from a Kickboxing gym, guess how pissed off they were when they lost :D i got out because i got tired of dealing with the BS holier than thou, elitist, snobby Boxing community

worth bearing in mind lomachenko will be about 5 boxing weight classes lower than McGregor, who would have to fight at LMW. Loma would still clown him and knock him out though, and pretty quick imo

Look, don’t be one of those guys that blindly thinks MMA Fighters can beat elite boxers, simply because they “know how” to kick and grapple. You still have to be effective with that while competing against a better, quicker man then yourself and defending against punches and traps and setups that you’ve never seen.

Conor has never seen the footwork and quickness that Lomachenko brings to the table. Never.

If you think Conor can go into a cage or ring with Lomachenko and just kick him in the head or take him down immediately, you are out of your mind. It doesn’t work like that. Is it possible, yes. Is it guaranteed, no.
Loma is a more accomplished wrestler than McGregor so he wouldnt be completely clueless in MMA.

basic TDD + boxing footwork + counters.

brilliant and talented people succeed throughout their lives by adapting.

Loma is billion times the athlete conor is.

Lomas wrestling, judo and sambo is trillion times better than conors boxing.

tl:dr conor is just big.

The thing that annoys me about boxers (especially when talking about McGregor) is that they think fighting = boxing. They act like professional boxing is the only 'real' fighting and you can tell they genuinely believe it.

oh god I feel bad for anyone who boxed under you, if you don't see how this was all for show I cant imagine how you were as a coach of the spot. jesus, poor kids

its just perspective, how good can you expect someone to look against one of the Pound For Pound, all time greats? to say he loses to Top 10 boxers is reasonable and fair, to say he looks amateur level, confused etc.. is a bit unfair

loma has trained in many different areas of fighting

google him, do yourself the favor

Yeah I agree, however, Mcgregor is not a modern MMA fighter though. he is a specialist striker that only use wrestling/bjj for defence. Pretty much a throwback, and the reason why he is not the all time great he claims to be (though he is very good). If he fought a top LMW boxer in MMA rules (say canelo), he would likely get destroyed unless he uses the other facets of the sport. I don't see connor doing that until he's hurt, and against world class boxers with 4 oz gloves on, he'll be knocked cold quick

so i guess that is a no, you have not been in a Boxing match

poor kids? they won their fights, multiple times. Not even in their sport lol

Dummy’s acting like Lomachenko went out looking for that TMZ fucktard.

Stay stupid ‘Murcia!

Lama hasn't trained in those disciplines in years , is in his mid 30's and weighs 135lb 147 rehydrated , if he stepped in the cage with conor at an open weight or even at 145lb in a mma fight he is getting stopped and this is coming from a boxing fan .

Kicks are what open up Conors hands , he does front push kicks / teeps a spinning side kick to open his shots he does it in every fight ...

Hey that's great, but what does Tom Brady think of his route running capabilities?

<TrumpWrong1>

Loma is still doing this shit from time to time, so muscle memory is still there.

Dude has solid ground game fundamentals and his striking game is better than any ufc fighter.

Conor is just big.

MMA aka WWE fans just jelly cuz the best combat athlete of all time is a boxer.

LOLL
