As we all know, more heavily muscled fighters often gas easier than fighters who aren't as built.

Also, as somebody else pointed out and that everybody should know, getting kicked and punched in the stomach repeatedly throughout the entire fight by Conor, one of, if not the heaviest hitter in the division, really plays a number on your gas tank. Getting hit in the body over and over really effects you.

Conor is very good at making his opponents slow down and makes them slow down pretty quickly. Conor is constantly moving forward, pushing his opponent back to the fence and throws a pretty good amount of volume at his opponents with both his kicks and punches.

He keeps them on the defense, and constantly defending strikes, and being forced to move the entire time and getting literally no rests, that slows you down. The volume Conor is throwing at you, you can be doing fine at defending his strikes for the most part, but some are going to get through and those are going to effect you no matter what.

He keeps them working from start to finish. If you're CONSTANTLY moving, being forced to the fence because of Conor's forward pressure and CONSTANTLY defending strikes, that slows you down, along with the fact that they're just going to start landing. Add in the fact that Conor was literally trying to gas Chad out with those snap kicks to the body and the punches he also landed there and to the head, that adds to you slowing down.

Chad is not known for having a great gas tank. And of course, having a short camp does effect it as well. But Chad's body type is also the kind of body type that isn't the best for cardio. Being that heavily muscled, most of those kind of fighters will often slow down a little quicker than others do. That's just the way it is, if you're as built as Chad is, you slow down quicker than others do already, and when you're fighting someone who hits as hard as Conor, and you're constantly taking those very, very powerful snap kicks and punches to the body, as well as those straight lefts to the head, it slows you down more and quicker.

Chad's body type and Valentina's body type are not comparable in any way. Chad's body type is not meant for great cardio and it's quite rare to see someone as built as him having an outstanding gas tank. His body type is meant for explosiveness and power, not for lasting long in the fight, if that makes sense.

Let's not forget that when Chad took Conor down, Conor got up very quickly the first few times except for the last two. When you take somebody down and your opponent IMMEDIATELY gets up before you can secure position and take a quick breather, that also slows you down, too. A sudden explosion into a TD, and then your opponent gets up before you an recuperate, that effects your gas tank as well.

Just like if you get taken down and you explode out of the position instead of relying on perfect technique - OSP is a perfect example of somebody who relies on his physical ability to just explode out from the bottom position instead of perfect technique in order to get back to his feet, and this is why you see him slow down so quickly sometimes and because very, very sloppy. His fights with Cummins and Glover are perfect examples of this.

Comparing Chad and Valentina just doesn't work because their body types are very different. No matter if they had a similar amount of time to train for a fight, no matter if Valentina had even less time to prepare for her fight - Chad's body simply is not meant for great cardio and fighting Conor McGregor, someone who hits as hard as him and taking THOSE shots and constantly being forced backwards, constantly defending strikes, etc, it slows you down even quicker.

There is no comparison between the two. Both may have had short times to prepare for their fights, but they have completely different body types and were fighting two entirely different kind of opponents.

Just because they both had very, very short times to prepare for their fights, doesn't mean it's a good comparison to make. They both had short training camps, but Chad and Valentina couldn't be anymore different. It's not comparable at all.

This should help you see the difference and understand it a little better, TS.

it said she has something like 500 fights.

Pfft, fuck no, no she didn't.

It says she apparently had 500 amateur fights 'in different combat styles,' but who the fuck does 500 amateur fights? I'm pretty sure you don't get paid shit for amateur fights, no matter the sport. 500 fights would be a complete waste.

Why would she do 500 amateur fights and be paid nothing, and only do 62 pro fights, where she does get paid? That makes no sense at all. She'd have to be out of her fucking mind to do 500 amateur fights for free.

She's only 27, too, so unless she was fighting like, every week or so for however many years.. for free.. lol, fuck that.

Most fighters out there, no matter the sport, don't even have that many fights if you combine their amateur and pro records together, no matter how many combat sports they took part in. Most fighters go pro loooooooong before they'd reach something like 500. Shit, the only time you hear of something crazy like that is like the 1800's to early to mid 1900's in boxing, and that's rare as fuck, too. Most of them would go pro before they reach 100.

Unless there's some proof of Valentina having that many fights, I'm not believing any of that shit. That's complete BS. NOBODY in their right fucking mind would do that. I'm not saying she's a liar or anything, 'cause I don't know if she said it or somebody in her gym or close to her said it just to hype her or something - not saying she or whoever wrote it is a liar, just that I HIGHLY doubt it.

If it's true, then that's fucking insane and seriously a HUGE waste. Anybody who ever does 500 amateur fights is nuts and wasted A LOT of time when they could've been doing pro fights and getting paid a long, long time ago.

So, no if there's no proof, I don't believe it. That number is way too high to be believable, and I know MT fighters are often VERY active, but 500 AMATEUR fucking fights? FUCK no!

Again, I'm not saying she's a liar, she's too cute to be a liar!!!

Almost as believable as Rickson being 400-0... almost..

I have my doubts too, 200-250 total fights I can believe, but 500 is kinda ridiculous unless she started fighting when she was still in diapers. Her bios and stuff says she won her first world championship in 2003, so I think it's safe to say she was fighting for at least 2-3 years before that, so she's had a good 15 year career. At 15 or so fights per year which is not unusual in Muay Thai she'd be comfortably over the 200 fight mark by now. That I think sounds pretty reasonable.

first you said "cant sell". now you're with "not...a ppv draw".

come on son. you cant even turtle that shit properly. the stank is leaking everywhere.
Typical stupid crap from you.

my posts always contains measurable data. my opinion changes event to event to adapt with the new info. currently, Conor is no hotter than Ronda's hype was. not nearly even there yet. I'm an adult. I dont look at these things emotionally. You shouldn't either. act your age.
After your last sentence telling someone to act their age is hilarious. I presented data, you dismissed it. You formed an opinion and dismissed any data that conflicted with what you chose to believe.

2 PPV main-events. You're already declaring him an infinite success. Chill out douchewad, unlike you guys who live on government-paid allowance, us people who work are in it for decades. As a pro-athlete, he's got at least 10 more years to go.
No moron, 0 PPV and I was declaring his first PPV was going to be a success, maybe you can show me where I have ever stated he will be a success forever. This is exactly the kind of crap posting that makes people laugh at you.

You're celebrating 2 events in. "I told you he was going to be a huge ppv draw" - you never assessed shit. All you do is spit bullshit and roll the dice. Your concern here is so vital to your being 'right' that you dont even understand that it didn't mean jack .
Wrong moron, I linked the thread, I formed my opinion based on evidence and was right. You formed yours on who knows what and were as wrong as can be.

If you were all-knowing, I hope you have made some good bank betting on Conor through the early days.
More logical fallacies and stupidity, your bread and butter. Conor being a PPV draw has nothing to do with whether he will win the fight.

If you're all talk. Then well, joke's back on you. keep telling yourself that your irrelevant fandom was vital to his uprising. That's all you've got.
And I knew we would get there eventually. Somehow I must be a Conor fan and riding his balls and think I am important to him, and it can't be I have a working brain unlike you and the signs of him having a successful huge PPV were everywhere. I picked against Conor against Mendes and Aldo, moron.

no one's mentioned that they are going to buy this ppv specifically for Conor. Only the regular will buy as always posts...
that's the point. Conor's reach doesn't extend beyond those who already pay for the product.
can't wait for the numbers to do the talking.
Could be 100% of the whole population and Conor wouldn't be able to pull Aldo's numbers. That's the whole point.

The guy's a dead end when it comes to superstardom. His stocks have been inflated, and the unfortunate bought it in spades.

Everyone is laughing at you, not with you.

tl dr. dont do that individual sentence reply crap. you're an adult. take the message as a whole, and reply with one.

actually dont bother. back to ignore list.

She did start fighting (or competing) when very young, but her 500 fights total is maybe a little misleading in that I would guess that she's talking about "matches" and fights. I don't have facts to back this up, but its very likely that if she entered a tournament as a kid, she could be counting that "4 fights" or whatnot. The most experienced Thai fighters who have been fighting a since a young age very seldom get over 300 fights, and these are actual full contact fights. But I would doubt think she's been fighting at a high rate as a Muay Thai fighter. She may not even have more than 80 striking fights, depending how you want to talk about it, it's hard to say. But wow, very experienced, fighting/competing her whole life.

Most intelligent reply from you, admitting you have no response to me posting the stupid crap you said over and over and unable to defend it. Once you accept you are a moron who says stupid crap you can maybe stop.

So since she only had 1 weeks notice, how was she able to fight 3 rounds without being completely gassed and quit in the 2nd round like Mendes who was training for Conor about 3 weeks out.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/6/2...-gameplan-for-conor-mcgregor-picked-him-apart

Maybe because she isn't comparably as muscle bound as Mendes?

Maybe because it's well documented that Chad was hunting and fishing and barely training when he got the call, but Valentina was in gym?

Stellar logic as always, captain dumbass.

They both had shortened camps moron. Chad had about 3 weeks, how many weeks did Valentina have?

if you take mcgregor`s balls out of your eyes, you would realize that you dont know what shevchenko was doing before the fight was announced and that chad was doing a hunting show right before when he got the call to fight mcgregor

He can't take them off his eyes, when it's down his throat.

Picked against Conor in both fights. Stalking me cause you are so salty I destroyed you in your thread and everyone said you were a moron?
