Media Valentina Shevchenko (TUF) - no water allowed, when training?

she seem like the type to stay dry year round
Brutal...

I trained years ago under similar conditions (traditional martial arts not MMA)

Often in a gym with minimal ventilation, certainly no a/c which was tough here in Australia as the temp would quickly rise into the high 20's / low 30's Celcius and incredibly humid

We were told it was for building mental toughness but I suspected the lower utility bills also had something to do with it

I feel you.. boxing gyms here in the Philippines are the same, except the humidity is !@#$ing brutal with no fans or air that's circulated, at the gyms I go to anyways. warm ups and a couple rounds of jumproping and my shirt is already nearly drenched :\

When I trained MMA/BJJ/Karate or hike, I always did this.

I'm a masochist though so I enjoy this sort of thing.

It's dumb and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever lol.
