I always wanted to enjoy any vale tudo fight I saw, but most bored me to death.

They either go on far too long, or the Gracie crew riots when they start losing.

If a fight goes on too long, it's because fighters are squeamish about smashing balls and breaking bones, including finger bones.
 
There was a back of the hall Gracie challenge match from approx 20 years ago that the Gracies tried to cover up (and take mob revenge over).
One of their family fought a French MMA fighter, one of two brothers, in a sports hall. Took a beating and I think the Gracie quit.
I don't recall much else as at the moment but does it ring any bells?
