I know most fans are for this USADA testing but there are some morons on this forum complaining that they are ruining the sport. Yes, in the short term the UFC is gonna take a hit, but this is only a bump in the road. 5-10 years down the line the sport will be clean especially at the top. Fighters will be getting caught before they even make it to the top 10 rankings. Before they even become relevant. You might still have fighters fighting in other orgs taking steroids but once they sign with the UFC they'll be caught right away. So you won't be seeing fighters like Jon, Anderson and Lesnar getting caught after they've had successful careers.

In the future all the champs will be clean. The UFC and the fans just need to be ready to deal with a rough couple of years before we get there.

Welcome to the USADA era.

I support the USADA era! It'll definitely last longer than the Machida Error!

The sport was built on peds. Thats like making cake with no frosting

They do a damn good job but still dissapointing the amount the guys that arr actually using

Truth is I could care less either way. Chances are lots of past champs would prolly on something banned. Your not gonna tell me Randy the natural had this big resurgence in his 40s and he was clean. Either way I could care less about what they take or if they are clean or not and I guarantee you the same people would still be paying to see fights if they were juiced or not. Why, because people just want to see fights fights as do I. If usada was around since the beginning think of how many great fights we potentially would of missed out on. Let them fight!

The sport needs a cleansing and continued strict testing with meaningful punishment can get it done. The fighters themselves also need to draw a line, completely reject association with PED users that damage what others work for.

It depends whether you're on the "pure sport" side, or "sport entertainment/spectacle" side. Both are equally valid and there's no need for personal insults.

I'm glad they are cleaning it up. It just goes to show you how many people were on things before the USADA came along. The sport will be fine and it will rise even more.

I agree...somewhat. Fighters (and all athletes) will continue to find ways to cheat. New substances can and will always be produced. These substances either won't be on the banned list or will be undetectable. I do think that USADA will make it much more difficult for fighters to cheat.

oh wow, I didn't know you had a crystal ball.

Yep, it's gonna take a few years until guys realise it is no longer worth the risk.

I would like to see the financial penalty increased.

Usada wil never be as funded as the companies making PEDs, no sport will ever be completely clean and you need to realize this.

Yea, I mean, WADA really cleaned up the Olympics didn't it? You're kidding yourself if you think better testing leads to anything except for "scientific advancement".

Eh it's a mixed bag. I'm all for motherfuckers doing what they want but using PED's in a sport like MMA is different than tennis or bicycling where people aren't going to potentially get seriously injured or die as a result of unfair competition. Since we can't just allow all PED's the way I would like it, USADA is the fairest way.

i miss the mark mcgwire era in baseball. i'll miss the pre-usada days too
