The border was more secure during the Obama administration than at any point in US history, and it's now even more secure under Trump. And that border has had a negative migration rate since 2008.

My girlfriend was scheduled to leave Sunday afternoon for a business trip from Reagan airport, but wasn't able to find out for sure if the trip was canceled until Sunday morning. She finally got word that they had to cancel on Sunday morning, and was told to report to work this morning to prepare for the shutdown, but hardly anybody was at the office when she got there and she was sent home.

That probably mirrors the experience of a couple hundred thousand people the last couple days, and for what? I don't understand what these people are thinking sometimes.
