Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Susan Collins, R-Maine, Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Mike Rounds, S.D. — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he won’t bring the measure up for a vote until he knows what the president wants in an DACA bill.

So if it was too liberal, it was made too liberal to get these people on board. Richard Spencer protege Stephen Miller threw a monkey wrench in it when it was very close.

The requirement that, in order to fund CHIP, there must be some kind of resolution on DACA. They're unrelated to each other.

Anytime the government shuts down they should mandate that every elected official be replaced within 18 months. I don't care what side of the aisle you're on. It's fucking pathetic and theres plenty of blame to go around.
