Urantsetseg Munkhbat: The Reverse Omoplata Master

Judo rules are definitely worse, but that doesn't mean we can't criticize Ibjjf as well.
i use t hate ibjjf but now i prefer it cause least guys still fight for top position and dont concede bottom

in these sub only things guys now train to butt flop and try to hang onto a leg lock not trying to dominate position since points arnt really scored for positioning

i use to wana see sub only formats but as i gotten older years later i seen how its negativly effected bjj as a martial art i feel as reasons stated above

When you consider how many times fighters (including legit black belts) have lost the back in MMA, it's pretty easy to disagree with this opinion.
this.. tbh i gave up on back and tried to find dif ways of mat returning guys for years after seeing guys like weidman fail the back game has improved quite a bit tho since the 2012-2017 era though in the lastyear i started to gain more confidence in it i feel it needs to be done with a mix of mat returns/riding into the back but never jumping it completely trying to break a guy down to a side and get it then

I wouldn't have thought it would be legal either, btw, given that it is an obvious shoulder lock. I guess the shoulder lock prohibition is much more of a gray area than I'd been lead to believe though.

Its definitely a shoulder lock (as is the normal ude-garami), but both have always been allowed. When I started refereeing (only at low level tournaments, but the head ref was always a high level referee) I was told they were more or less grandfathered in, and are always legal.

its still lame guys trying to slap each other without real punches guys wills till try to play footsies and wont care to grapple like its mma ground grappling

We need tournament style where full strikes are allowed on the ground and only grappling on the feet.

I think that will better prepare BJJ specialists for MMA.

sadly their wont be a market for it as bjj today isnt really an athletes sport anymore its a nerds sport on average and they dont wana play if they cant play berinbolo

These rules, or suggested rules, just get closer and closer to MMA. Just be a BJJ guy, then train other disciplines and only compete in MMA when you're ready.

But we want to be BJJ specialists in MMA. We want to be on a FastTrack process to be Demian Maia without wasting time learning a 50% of irrelevant things that have no utility in a real fight in the cage.
