Social Upspeak vs Vocal fry

I'm so confused, I was assuming these were computer programs or some shit LoL

The gay flamboyant voice is the most cringy and annoying to be honest.

I’ve met some gay dudes that had a gay voice but it didn’t seem like it was exaggerated or a put-on, didn’t really mind their speech.

On the other hand there is this one dude that frequents the coffee shop I got to that has a wife but seems to be in the closet (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and he has the most odious uptalk voice ever. No gay lisp but his tone alone is so fucking gay.

I met a dude from Bosnia a couple years back that described it quite well with women from California... he said that it sounds like they're singing when they talk. I was like damn, that's a great observation.

Also, there is a woman that works for my company that ends her sentences on a high note lol. Everyone makes fun of her.

Some people in Mexico talk with an uptalk as well, upper class affectation. It’s even worse when they do it while sounding like they got their mouths full.
I heard Portuguese people say that of Brazilian’s, that they sound like they’re singing.

I think they are probably evenly annoying. It just depends on the severity of them which one is more annoying to me.

Do you find these intonations/vocal registries abominable and insufferable? Which one deserves a punch in the throat the most?

I find upspeak sickening, vocal fry is annoying as shit too but something about the sound of a man especially that talks in an effeminate bourgeoise teen voice makes me wanna fill the room with uppercuts and bullet holes.
Maybe it’s not as annoying in a woman because all the times that I’ve felt revulsion recently when hearing it was from guys.
I think the “gay voice” is not even as bad as that one.

Vocal fry is probably equally annoying in women and men. Had a hard time getting thru a podcast I like that had a girl croaking like a damn chain smoking frog the whole time.

Make America articulate again.

You know what pisses me off? When some impatient asshole behind me honks because I didn't go the millisecond after the light turned green. Oh I'm sorry, are you going to miss Survivor tonight because I made you wait 0.4 seconds?

Which leads to a greater source of aggravation... People who are obsessed with using their horn. I equate the action and sound of using you horn as crying .. crying through your car. Shut the fuck up.

Vocal fry is at least somewhat normal. When you wake up in the morning, most or all people are gonna speak in vocal fry for about 1 hour or so.

Upspeak is just retarded. Makes you sound insecure.

I hadn't heard any of these terms before this thread. So I watched this clip, and started getting this show loudermilk recommended to me. I've watched about 8 eps today on my day off, really enjoying this show.
