However the gameplay turns out, it will at least look gorgeous. I'm pretty sure that's the first MMO I've seen built in Unreal Engine 5.

Real MFers remember playing the OG age of empires 2 on the Ps2 with a controller (and a 75 population limit)

I didn't know there was a PS2 version. Strange that it came out in Japan but not here.
Could you not use a mouse and keyboard since the PS2 had multiple USB ports?

So here's a weird entry. This game is trending on Twitch probably due to headlines about how the police raided the South Korean developer Ironmace's headquarters stemming from accusations by publishing giant Nexon that Ironmace stole staff and IP from them. Steam de-listed the game, and in response, Ironmace invited players to torrent their game (in its alpha state) instead. That's what people are watching on Twitch. Now those torrents are being aggressively targeted with DMCA claims. Also interesting, it's a battle royale game, but the twist is it's a dungeon crawler RPG. AFAIK that's a first.

This game is already sparking controversy as after the unveiling of the trailer three days ago some are criticizing the gameplay as too realistic. This is perhaps the first time I've seen Unreal Engine 5 truly leveraged with a focused pursuit of photorealistic play. In fact, it's so photorealistic, some have challenged whether it is virtual gameplay at all, speculating instead it is actually augmented real-life video footage. This prompted one of the developers to release a YouTube video proving the gameplay is virtualized. Many are already calling this a watershed moment in gaming.
