Signings/Scouting Unsigned Heavyweights, v.4

Unusual finish! Teed stays unbeaten, then.

He finished his fight before that the exact same way. He's starting to get a signature move going. Mind you it's probably not a good idea to rely on submissions from the bottom, he's gotta work that wrestling too.

Azunna Anyanwu TKO'd Jose Pinto to move to 12-4. Still think he's probably a bit old to get a UFC call-up but stranger things have happened.

Keep an eye on Brett Martin this weekend. Martin spent his amateur career at Super Heavyweight but has made great measures to get his weight in check and he looks great. I haven't seen him in a fight where he didn't completely dominate his opponent (other than an early amateur TKO). Unfortunately, his last fight was made into a No Contest after a knee to the head on the ground. His opponent decided to not continue after that because he was getting lit up. Had that not happened, he would be 2-0 right now. If he wins, he'll need to take on some higher caliber talent but no one has been able to get past his wrestling and he has a good gas tank for his size.

So... Tai Tuivasa has been signed to the UFC. How do you think he will do?

That's awesome!!!

Tai's performance will depend who they put him against. Technical strikers and wrestlers are no good right now, he needs to feed off the bottom and get some cage time in. I'd put him against Chris De La Rocha if they want an easy debut, or Walt Harris if they want a tougher one. Regardless, if the kid lands, guys are going to sleep.

Come on guys. Ayala is only 28 years old, plenty of time to improve. His Bellator record isn't bad either, especially now adding Kharitonov to his resume. He has more upside that Sergei, lets see how he goes from here.

Guys counting him out were being stupid. Dude is beastly for 10 seconds before gassing and toppling over. Completely ran through Butler a while back. If he improves his conditioning, I could see him doing well in Bellator's HW division.

I think Tai won't do that well in the UFC, might go 1-2 before getting cut. He has crazy power though.

Tuivasa will probably get De La Rocha for his debut so will get off to a winning start, but he's gonna find it tough.

Glad to see another new HW on the books though.

Don't know if it has been mentioned, Rasulov - Goltsov for hw title at ACB 50 Dec,18

Erokhin will probably fight again on dec.10, his opponent
Maiquel Falcao(yes, a mw) is out, promotion tries to find a replacement.

Erokhin is really active. I'd like to see him fight Dmitry Poberezhets.

ROAD FC Openweight Champion Mighty Mo will make his first title defense against Carlos Toyota.

Siala “Mighty Mo” Siliga (10-5, Millennia MMA) went from being K-1 Tournament Champion over ten years ago to winning the first ROAD FC Openweight Tournament in 2016.

Carlos Toyota (8-8-1, Hard Combat) is a long time veteran of Japanese MMA for DEEP and Gladiator before earning back to back ROAD FC victories over Choi Hong-Man and Shim Gun-Oh.
