He's just keeping that promotions belt warm for Curtis Blaydes. :)

Does that mean the Odoms fight won't happen? Or is he going to knock out two 40 year olds back to back?

it's a tag team match with odoms. only way they could get it sanctioned

according to huckaba is oct 31st....so god knows whats happening with odoms????

My God, if Konstantin destroys Odom and Huckaba in the same month that would be amazing.

Is John Johnston a legit guy to watch? I understand he is 43, but he looks to be knocking out anything put in front of him.

I saw Blaydes already has another fight lined up for November against Brad Faylor (2-1) at Sugar Creek Showdown 22.

honestly he is. The dudes a beast but he probably won't get many looks cause his age. Theres a lot of guys around here like that. He's the first real HW prospect to come out of here since Lee "the beast" Beane. I really wish his didn't retire. Morecraft ruined his momentum. But the dude was nasty, set to be the next big thing to come out of this state and then just stopped.

Johnston is an animal but I just cant see the UFC signing someone that old.

Tyler East wins by TKO against Kevin Asplund in the first round. Tyler looked good as usual, which makes it continually sad he is still experiencing ongoing legal and criminal issues. If Tyler didn't make those choices in his personal life he would be in the UFC by now.

It's sad from the perspective that we won't get to see him fight on a bigger stage but I could really care less because he's a woman-beating-drug-abusing scumbag.

He doesn't seem like a good dude, East. Shame, as he's a fine HW prospect.

This is what odoms wrote on his Facebook about his UFC release

Yesterday I was released by the UFC. I'm deeply disappointed. I made an amateurish mistake and failed to immediately tell them about a laser eye surgery I had to have done about three weeks out from the fight. The eye is healed now but the damage is done. I wasn't letting anything stop me from competing and it backfired. Thank all of you for supporting me. I hope UFC realizes I learned from this incident and allow me a second chance in competing under the Zuffa umbrella. Right now I'm focused on getting my eyes medically cleared so I can get back in the cage. I feel sorry for my first opponent. I'll keep you all posted.

Bad choice but nothing that will permanently prevent him from returning. If he's still fighting Konstantin Erokhin then a win against him would probably give him a call back. Although that's a tall order.
