That really sucks, but Ngannou is kind of interesting. Also good to see Volkan get a keep busy fight before he returns to Bellator. Was Yosef injured? Or did he sign somewhere else?

Not 100% sure what happened but I know he wanted to be fresh for Superior Combat 11 in November.

Yeah, its good Volkan's keeping busy BUT....I'M gonna be that guy, now.

I don't like it when these unbeaten/impressive record Europeans lose in the big leagues and go back to fighting, I'm sorry, jobbers.

Oezdemir will smash dude in 30seconds, then return to Bellator at 11-1 or whatever and fight someone with a pulse who can wrestle....lose, rinse and repeat.

Why not find a North American opponent and work on the weaknesses?

Rant over.

Nick 'Afrozilla' Gaston (6-1) makes his return to MMA against Carmelo Marrero (16-6) at KOTC - Survivor on 10/12. He looked like a promising prospect before his loss to Tyler East. He's only 29 so he still has plenty of time to put some wins together and make it to the next level.

Holy crap, and it's not even April 1st. If Gaston wins then he's going to be on the radar for a few big orgs.

Hopefully if he makes it to the UFC we'll get to see that Duffee fight!

Goltsov defeated Rogers by UD.
He and Erokhin should be signed by big organization ASAP.

Rogers is like the Russian gatekeeper now, get past him and you're ready for a shot. :P

Wonder why that is.... better paychecks over there I can only assume?

From what I've heard the paychecks are much better in comparison to NA promotions. I imagine some of the fights being made also have good risk/reward associated with them, if Rogers wins he gets a win over a prospect and increases his stock, if he loses, it's expected.

Is this being televized? I want Hague, and McCorkle back in the UFC again so they can be used as fodder for some of the young & green prospects. They should grab Sparks as well.

I've looked everywhere and couldn't find even an upcoming play by play. It's not being televised/streamed for sure, but hopefully nearer to the event a play by play will surface. Aside from that the only way to know what's happening is live, or from someone there live.

Island Fights is happening now and no play by plays. I'm just paying attention to Tapology, Sherdog, and Twitter to see if between them anything pops up on the results side.

If anyone knows the results for Island Fights, please post them with a spoiler tag if possible since many people are curious. I've found two mentions of results for individual fights, but they are unconfirmed.

If not, we'll have to wait for the promoter to release them I suspect.

yes I was wondering about island fights as well. strange situation

Yeah, they should at least partner with GFL.tv, which as I understand it is a relatively easy and inexpensive streaming partnership.

Denis Smoldarev actually fought this past weekend for a small event in Estonia in what i'm guessing was a stay-busy fight. He tapped out Yuriy Kyselov (2-3) in 38 seconds.
