imagine Mulheron vs Garner?! that'd be great!

UK No 1 James Mulheron V Germany's No 1 HW Ruben Wolf is scheduled for Made4thecage 28th Feb.

Rubens finished the last fight with a mean soccer kick, i will try and get it onto youtube.

we know. posted 5 pages back if u had cared to look..

See :]

Apologies, Even though its my first post I've been following this thread (and the Original) for ages.

Wood, Trees and all that.

Nice list. Surprised how little UFC has done in signing more HW's. You would think the division is much more than shallow than it really is looking at this.

Sadly, it's even worse at 205.

I'm all good with posting info even if it's been posted, things get buried in here sometimes. :P

Also it's awesome you've been following both threads, good to have you contributing!

On UFC.com, I counted 32 active light heavyweights. The UFC website still has guys like Steve Bosse and Chuck Liddell on there.

Although i normally stay away from wikipedia, their page for UFC fighters is actually really good and a good way to see how many are signed. According to this:

Lightweights: 104
Welterweights: 103
Middleweights: 73
Featherweights: 70
Bantamweights: 62
Flyweights: 36
Women's Bantamweights: 36
Light Heavyweights: 35
Heavyweights: 34
Women's Strawweights: 18

As promised, I did a breakdown of the HW scene in Brazil currently. Please note, as I am not from the area nor do I have a strong grasp of Portuguese, my assessments and backgrounds on fighters are incomplete. This will be based purely on footage and stats.

Prospects:

Wowzers, some work gone in there - Thanks for you dedication.

Which one of those Brazilian heavies ya think will get signed first?

Probably Baldutti since he's Jungle Fight champion, although I would disagree with that signing. I'd like to see either Vinicius Lima, Junior Albini, or Fernando Rodrigues fight Baldutti first, preferably Albini since I think he's the most technical of the three younger prospects. None of them are really ready for the UFC though at this point.

In the future, Lima and Albini are both 23, so they both have time to improve and get signed in a couple years time.

Not the UFC, but Tony Johnson has signed with Bellator.

Hold on, didn't he used to fight for them and left due to being messed around a bit?

I seem to recall that?

He did, I'm wondering if Bellator's new management may have convinced him to come back.

He fought Lewis on a one off fight, then signed with them. As I recall he wanted to fight elsewhere due to them not giving him fights, but Bjorn kept him in contract limbo until it expired.
