James Mulheron defeats Dayman Lake by spinning backfist in round 3. Time for the big show, James.

Strikeforce/Bellator vet Andreas Spang (8-3) makes his return to MMA at Heavyweight against J.A. Dudley (7-15). This is a big step up in weight as Spang usually fights at Middleweight.

Andreas "Sweet Tooth Swede" Spang. :)

It would be great if Bellator signs him for the British Invasion card

But lately seems like they aren't interested in good and young prospects...

I think he'd be good in Bellator actually. UFC, Bellator, or M-1 would be good next steps.

is chris Barnett still fighting titties on the 5th? I heard it was canceled but sherdog still has it up

The fight still seems to be happening according to the Island Fights Facebook page, they posted an updated poster yesterday and he's still on it.

if he didn't retire john Johnston would be a perfect fight for him on the british invasion card! 7-0 HW from MA fighting in Mohegan with that crowd. Mulheron part of the british invasion.. ahh what could have been.

Tony Mustard also won on that card. He usually fights at heavyweight, but I saw it listed on Tapology as light-heavy. Do you have any idea if he really dropped down? 3-0 with none of his fights going past the first minute so far.

He could probably be a big MW, so I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped to LHW where he would be normal sized. That fight was at HW still though according to the promoter.

I've been doing some research on Murad Izmailov, and he seems interesting.

4-0, all first round finishes. He has a background in wrestling and is an up and coming combat sambo practitioner. At 28 years old, 6'4 and 250 pounds, he fits the mold for the type of heavyweight that will fit well in the weight class. The only worry is his level of competition makes it tough to judge his ability.

How about Junior Albini?
He is riding a 6 fight win streak and very young for HW.

For some reason, that name cracks me up!

Jack May finally has an opponent for Titan FC 32: Lew "The Titan" Polley, 12-5 from Black House.

I have to agree with you regarding his opponents. When you're fighting a guy whose go-to mount defense is underhook then bear-hug, you're not going to really have your grappling tested. Slick takedown, though.

He has time to improve, but right now he's way too raw, and he needs to fight better guys than the same old 1-0/0-1 guys on the Brazil regionals. If he can gather some wins over more experienced guys in Brazil, then he could be a pickup. His best ticket to a UFC shot would be to beat William Baldutti and get the Jungle Fight HW championship, which puts him in sight of a big promotion.

I'm assuming Jack May should easily beat Lew Polley at Titan FC 32? May seemed to me to still have some potential.

If he can stay off his back then yeah, he should be able to beat up Polley. That is if Polley makes weight. :P
