I'm really digging XFO. The winner of Petkovic vs Correa would be a good next step up for Blaydes too.

Fun fact, Blaydes actually fought and defeated Daniel James in round one by arm triangle choke in the amateurs, however the fight isn't listed anywhere.

Blaydes seems to be the best HW prospect out of Illinois. The ranking would probably go something like:

Curtis Blaydes
Daniel James
Erick Correa
Wes Anderson

XFO seems to be high on James though, they're promoting him as one of the top guys on this card.

James is well spoken and popular in the area, so I can understand their push. I doubt they'd put him in with Blaydes again though, he got torn apart in their amateur fight.

Adam Maciejewski vs Blaydes would be my favorite fight for XFO in late 2015. 3 more fights for Blaydes and he'll be ready.

Gzim Selmani back to your list ;)
He just lost vs Daniel Gallemore

He's not getting within 10 miles of my list after that performance. :P

I remember Gallemore being fairly hyped when he turned pro, but he has won 3 in a row now, albeit against low-level competition before Selmani who at least had a good winning record.

now that Gzim lost time to hype Delija again

Well he has 3 wins(12-2) in a row now since Smoldarev fight + Smoldarev is still undefeated and most likely greatest prospect in a world (HW) right now with Marcin Tybura and two of them will fight soon (can not wait ) , so I don't see huge tragedy with that Smoldarev fight !
And luckily he will fight winer of Dion Staring vs Ricco Rodriguez (coming soon FFC HW CH Fight) , so there you go , great opportunity to prove defeat vs Staring was just
lack of experience.

Maybe a bit too harsh ;)
Inexperience ?

Cardio. I'm extremely unforgiving until he proves me wrong and comes back stronger. So we'll see if that happens. I'm sure they'll give him another Bellator fight anyways, usually if they outright sign a fighter he'll get a second chance.

Hopefully Staring wins. Delija avenging that loss would be huge since as you said, there's no shame in losing to Smoldarev who is a future star at HW. The Staring loss was really a bad mark on Delija's record though.

that knee to the body that dropped him in the first pretty much destroyed any bit of cardio he had. then he went hard for the north south and he was done

I know Wiuff is proper punchdrunk and borderline washed up now, but by regional standards that's a massive win for a rising HW. Johnson could well get a big-league callup off that.

I honestly love HW's like Johnson. Just by looking at the guy and watching his earlier fights I would have written him off, but sometimes something just clicks in a fighter and they start to hit their stride.

Brian Heden, Brett Murphy, Kevin Asplund, Travis Wiuff, he's basically beat all the former prospects and veterans in his region, which is all you can ask from an up and coming fighter really. If I had to make another fight for him, it would be Tim Sylvia since Sylvia isn't too far away from where Johnson trains. Aside from that I'd say he needs a pickup from an org like RFA, Titan, or Legacy for a big fight to transition to the UFC on.

Maybe fight Barrett/Garner winner?

I'd like that fight, would be a good test for Johnson. I think Garner will pull that one off, as much as I dislike Garner's game, just because he can stuff Barrett's takedowns and has a striking advantage.

Garner took the fight on Monday (11 days notice), if that means much.
