oh shit that's HUGE in the signaling of the downfall of the promotion. too bad Rama is the only good HW on their roster. I can't really think of anyone in their HW roster. There's Hauge who will just bounce around Canada, Rama is highly sought after but when bellator tried to sign him he couldn't get fights in the US. So unless he got that settled the only org that would sign him is UFC, Bellator doesn't do Canadian events that often. Mehmen would be a solid signing for any org, and huckaba is decent but old. that's pretty much their whole HW roster anyway

I'm hearing @MMAWorldSeries is going to release all heavyweights from the promotion. Solid source.

If this is true, Smealinho Rama will be a sought after free agent. But his criminal background will probably hold him back.

Hoping the UFC signs Mehmen and Rama, the UFC can work on Rama's passport issues. If Rama can't get out of Canada he'll be back to MFC, which is entirely depressing.

Either guy would be a good signing. Rama is a fresh prospect, and Mehmen works as a good gatekeeper in case Joe Silva ever decides to start signing people into the higher weight classes.

I've been surprised by his success only because I saw him get tapped by a smaller Dave Branch in Bellator a few years ago. Never heard of either guy at that point, and Branch went off to the UFC soon after and now Mehman's had some decent success as a HW. Kinda cool in retrospect.

Well that was quick. That's what happens when you clean out an entire region of the US of competition though. Plus he's 29 and has a wrestling background, so lots of room for improvement.

Although once again they should have signed more Russians at HW.

I've only seen highlights, but from the highlights it looked fairly close. Both guys are really talented. Zoumana is getting his step up, wondering who NGannou gets next.

Makes sense. Don't know if he's ready for that step up but they have enough shitty hw's on the roster that they'll probably build him up. How do they sign him and not East though? unless east was signed without me knowing

Keep busy. Shlemenko, Volkov, and Sarnavskiy all have stay busy fights in Russia as well.

Dale Sopi vs Chase Gormley - If Sopi wins I'd add a profile on him.
