Unpopular opinion : Oliveira is a bit arrogant

Who tf cares what Khabib says??? You don't see me bringing up examples of shit Charles' guys have been saying throughout the last few months.
For the record, Khabib has said way more nice things about Charles over the last few months ("it's charles time", "charles is the best LW right in the world right now", etc.) but you haters for whatever reason like to cling to that one quote of his about Islam riding Charles like his horse. They are several instances of Khabib showering Charles with praise.

My comment was about Islam and Charles specifically.
Islam has a mouth of his own and he has shown a ton of respect for Charles in recent interviews.
Only thing that can be considered remotely trash talk is: "i'll take him to the ground, make him tired, and finish him" and that's not even trash talk because Islam says that before every fight. It's literally him laying out his game plan which no one has managed to stop.
Nahhh. You are obviously biased as hell if you think that is the only he said.

I didn't imply anything.

Your opinions are consistently trash.

Remember when you lost an AV bet to me?
Good. I don't even remember your opinions.

No, but even if I did, what's your point?

"YOu sAiD [insert fighter name ] WAs gONna wIN BRo.. BuT he LoSt iDiOt!!"

In the end winning fights is the most important thing and when the cage closes Khabib doesn't fight for Islam. You don't have to like the guy but acting like he's only where he is because of Khabib is just dumb
It's a pretty popular opinion actually.

I never said the translated word might be wrong, you absolute dope

You're just clinging to a word the guy didn't even say LOL

It's so weird, dude.

If you're picking Islam, I'm even more confident in Charles, your picks are fucking ass.

You never said it explicitly but you implied it. Name calling is exactly what I'd expect from someone like you.

You two gonna make out? Lol.

The fact that he has lost several times before, and struggled for many years in the UFC kind of makes it feel different for me. If he was undefeated I might’ve been more judgy about his “arrogance”

Think it probably has to do with people constantly mentioning how he will 'break' and stuff like that. He's also the underdog. I think after finishing multiple guys who were suppose to make him 'break' and then hearing it again is getting tiresome for him. Constantly being seen as the underdog too I think or at least by many.

He's a ufc champion because of skill, determination and confidence.
An extra dose of determination with Charles. I remember 8-10 years ago when Charles was saying that he would be UFC champ. I was thinking "Okay buddy...you can always dream". Well, he made the dream become a reality and I for one am inspired by Charles' rise from gatekeeper to Champ. War Charles.

That being said, I hope he isn't drinking too much of his own Kool-aid, as would like him to continue his rise. I think Charles is going to have his hands full this weekend.

He actually touched that subject and denied being arrogant. Charles is just really confident about his skills.

"Sometimes, the way you speak, people interpret like: "Man, he's so full of himself now". When I say: "I'm way ahead of these guys", I'm taking about everything that's happening. Those brawlers that I fought, when they saw me standing and trading they were like: "What the fuck was that?". I get knock down, get back up, have a tough round, but keep coming for the next one, they are like: "Man, what is this guy?". They expect me to take it to the ground, but I don't do that, I trade with them.

All those guys I've finished, it's either because they felt my hands, ended up on the ground with me or they got rocked and I went for the kill. That's why I'm always saying I'm a professional MMA fighter. I know where I come from, where I am at, and where I want to be."
