The USA would have to be significantly more empathetic and generous (ie, left wing) if they were to ever move towards 'producing fewer drug addicts'.

Not much chance as long as the national politics are as far right as they are.

It's like that other thread where the same drones who say "homelessness is too high" also say "don't offer homes to people I don't like".
