under rated actor: ed harris

The Right Stuff is one of my favorite films of all time.

He's great, I don't think he's underrated or overrated. He's well rated.

His best performance, imo:

I liked the Truman Show (though I don't think it's some great morality story that some reviews made it seem) but, without Ed Harris in his role I think the film would have been too goofy.
Looking back, very interesting movie. It's funny how society, as a whole, shifted towards everyone basically wanting to be Truman(via social media, etc), in light of the central theme of the film being a guy trying to escape it.

I think he's good. Underrated? Maybe, but I think that's because you don't really hear his name much.

He's not underrated, it's just that he's not a heart throb.

Every time he shows up he's all man. Right Stuff, Abyss, Enemy at the Gates, Beautiful Mind, Appaloosa, every time he's spot on.

Very underrated! He's only been nominated for four Academy Awards!

Good thread - his acting in this scene in particular is absolutely outstanding:

The Abyss is one of my all-time favorite sci-fi flicks.

I wouldn't call Harris underrated though.
