International UK mandatory ID cards?

I guess their theory is that people don't like the tories either and that when Reforms policies actually get held up to scrutiny people will figure out that they haven't actually got any policies that are financially viable.

Not expecting anyone to turn their back on Reform.

Even when they're putting 18 year olds in ridiculous positions because they have absolutely no strength in depth, people seem to still be backing them.

It's weird.

Reform obviously aren't ready, and "they can't do any worse" is destined to end in colossal and embarrassing failure.

It's like a football fan insisting a manager plays a reserve player because the first team aren't doing well. It ain't gonna work.

I understand you have to provide finger prints whe you enter the UK or traveling to a number of countries in Europe. They have to have them or record to match for entry.

I mean that all the information is digitally held so you could easily have it on an app.

If you lost your phone then the app would just be transferrable to your new phone.
Assuming you don't lose it just before travelling? Can Apple just deliver it tout suite at the airport?

Only if you're from a country where you need a visa I think (which assuming you're American you will).

I feel that's a lack of imagination on your part then

I say that as I work for the government and part of my role involves finding security questions to ask people to ascertain whether they can claim benefits or not and I can look at a shitload of information to ask questions based upon. So we probably know all this shit anyway.

This explains a lot about your posting. Thanks

I see Reform as a fuck you vote, just like Brexit was, just like the first Trump presidency was.

People are being massively wound up over long periods of time and whether they see Reform as their saviours or not, they'll still vote for them as a fuck you to the elites, to the media and to the left.

I wasn't willing to vote for them before, but I'll be really concerned if they get their way. I have a personal stake in it.

I agree with you.

But I don't like that we call it a fuck you vote or even a protest vote.

It's an airy fairy head-in-the-clouds idealist-fantasist vote at this point.

Let's be real about that haha

Yeah, I wonder how effective they can actually be, and I hope they don't get the chance either.

You leaning for any party yet? I'm completely lost...

Honestly... no 🤣

All I'm hoping for is a leadership contest in Labour because Starmer ain't it. That's not because of the political turmoil and it's not as embarrassing as the Boris regime, but it's just... shit.

@Wrath of Foamy
How did you both feel under Cameron and Blair?
I actually admired Cameron sticking to his guns and quitting after Brexit.

Yeah, I tend to throw my vote away on Lib Dems whenever I can't decide between the main parties.

Why is everyone so bafflingly shit?

I see reform as similar to trumps first term in a way, when the public sees voting for either major party resulting in the same shit results they go for wild card option in the hopes something will change even if it could get even worse. The gamble is seen as better than the same shit guaranteed

I was too young for Blair. Everything during hat time was just things that happened.

I didn't focus too much on politics during Camerons era. I know that he likes bacon, even if he seems unsure what to do with it...
