International UK mandatory ID cards?

Yeah, I tend to throw my vote away on Lib Dems whenever I can't decide between the main parties.

Why is everyone so bafflingly shit?

I honestly don't know... but I suspect it's because there's been years of pandering to the fringes... and as a result the fringes have really picked up momentum.

Could end up voting Lib Dem. There are some acceptable councillors round here. I'll certainly not be voting for a far-away local candidate, though. Gotta be someone local who has at least some track record of being a decent person.

I voted Lib Dem at a local election because the guy was the only one to put his home address on the ballot. Was for the Spelthorne borough.

That's about as far as my confidence in politicians goes.

I have a similar tactic.

Last time out whenever a Conservative would ask why I voted Labour, I'd explain the candidate was local; the Tory was from 250 miles away (not even kidding) and they said they "looked forward to getting to know the area if they won".

I was too young for Blair. Everything during hat time was just things that happened.

I didn't focus too much on politics during Camerons era. I know that he likes bacon, even if he seems unsure what to do with it...
Not too young to know about that joke, haha. Was it Black Mirror originally?

I think it was Cameron first and that inspired Black Mirror? Great episode btw.

Yeah, the Lib Dems would go door to door to talk and stop fliers in Spelthorne, whilst Labour and the Tories didn't really do anything. Lib Dems definitely seemed more grass roots...

I see reform as similar to trumps first term in a way, when the public sees voting for either major party resulting in the same shit results they go for wild card option in the hopes something will change even if it could get even worse. The gamble is seen as better than the same shit guaranteed

I'm all for change but at least with Trump you had experienced people in the party who knew what they were doing even if he himself was a wildcard. There's no indication that reform has the slightest clue what they're doing and a lot of the people planning to vote for them are voting against their own interests when it comes to benefits for example.

So yeah a credible third party would be great but Reform ain't it.

I don't get why lib Dems aren't going with a strong stance on immigration. I think most people would rather vote for them than Reform.

Yeah it was, what a brilliant programme that has ended up as.

This just means you guys are getting chipped before the rest of us.
Shalom

He's just trying to finish the Blair project before he gets kicked out.......

He's not a lefty and neither was Blair ....... They're cut from the same globalist cloth......

Why don’t they just repeal the HRA and start deporting muhfuggas?

Nobody wants a card. They don’t want to trade migrants they don’t want for migrants France doesn’t want. They want to see deportations of the mass variety.

well I have both a regular and digital ID.
You cant live life here with out it.
So I have no issues with.

My guess is their intent actually has nothing to do with tackling illegal migration but they are saying it does to get that chunk of the population who want it to end on board.
Ofc it does nothing with this and also nothing about any " benefits " checking too.
BTW system how to check is someone eligible for certain benefits or no is the same 2006 th flowchart.

Maybe bireucrats just does needs more jobs.

BTW a lot of pensioners doesn't have computers...this is reality and why they does needs them?

This has been Blairs wet dream since forever. I'm not sure exactly why though, although my gut feeling is it's something to do with having a biometrics database

I don't think anyone outside of the UK truly appreciates just how tracked we are, to the the point that I see ID cards as meaningless. Nearly everything is digitised now.

When I visit the US everything still feels analogue. So many places still don't use contactless cards, let alone Google wallet

Don't they care about the migrants and the poor blacks who can't afford ID cards? racist bigots

I mean I haven't lived there in years but wasn't Kier all for letting illegals in?

I do worry a bit about hacking with ID theft.

Well yes and no. They've made great strides in actually processing the people but they've not reduced the numbers from what I gather.

This is just population control.

I get what you mean but when I was there the govt still had a lot of old processes, we coild do some things entirely online yet some things had to be done via post. The nhs as well was a weird mix of some info was avaliable on an app while other info was only paper based and posted to you
