not excatly a cofidence increase :)

Skellys line is like -250 now on ladbrokes which is too much for me, even though I'm super confident he'll win, got him as parlay fodder in a few plays, really interested to see his ITD odds, would lay down quite a few units on that

I think Skelly actually has decent power in his overhand, but he's also that type of fighter that goes straight for the sub if he's rocking his opponent. If you want to play his ITD, you might as well play his sub line IMO

Played a Moreno + Jolly + Skelly Parlay, going to add a couple units each on Moreno and Jolly also, liking the odds on them.

I would if I could, sadly ladbrokes doesn't offer those lines, only "fighter x by ITD", otherwise I'd be all over Skelly sub

what about the over 1.5 rounds?

Ladbrokes does offer sub only lines. You will have to wait until Fri tho maybe.

I don't agree buddy. Well if sub line is juicy enough why not, but Skelly did KO Alers so why risk it. Dont be greedy! Skelly does have a heavy right hand.

Yeah, I just think that you won't get a ITD line higher than 1.9-2.0, and perhaps close to 2.9-3.0 by sub

Yeah Vick got that tall man defence. I think Abel most likely needs a finish to win though, when he gets tired in the 2nd and the TD isn't there I think he's gonna feel a little lost on the feet and Vick is gonna just out volume him and possibly finish. A lot to like about Vick here, bigger, younger, longer reach, better record, hometown. Another big difference is that Vick doesn't quit and Abel does. I'm not on Vick at the moment but he's the side I would play if I had to choose.

How in the world are people gathering that Abel quits? His first loss was to Khabib, and he literally never gave up. He kept getting back up and then put back down. I remember watching that and actually being somewhat impressed even though he was basically dominated. A lot of guys would have broke there. He then has an absolute war with Varner in where he could have bailed and he came back strong for the KO. His next loss was to Ferguson who has obviously been on a tear. Ferguson overwhelmed him in the 2nd and tried finishing a few times before he caught him in a RNC. That was just Ferguson being the better fighter. Trujillo then got caught in a choke by Tibau, and the ref stops it without Trujillo tapping thinking he's asleep.

Re Skelly's gas tank. His third UFC fight was on 10 days' notice (he had two fights in 13 days) so he had a big cut in a short space of time. He fought Alers next on four weeks' notice so had to cut from 185 instead of his usual 175 and that fight was at altitude. Even a cut from 175 was too much for him tho, but since joining Zillians before the Blanco fight he claims to walk around during camp between 160 - 164.

I'm big on Skelly so im really trying hard to believe him. He relocated to Florida after the Elkins fight and said he was in excellent shape before the Blanco fight, so I am inclined to believe him. Hope my faith is repaid.

I think he wins this one simply because he's better everywhere, but there is no way I'd buy that we aren't going to see cardio issues from him in the future. I think he's just one of those guys that will never have that figured out. There is no reason he gassed so hard several times, and that's why I loved Elkins over Skelly. Anyone that pushes a hard pace and can grapple well should give him a very rough time. I just don't think he knows how to conserve energy or breathe during a fight. Something is wrong there.

Yeah i don't think he's ever going to be reliable enough to put in a good shift every fight. Gritz pushes a strong pace but hes kind of limited. He said he had a terrible camp for the Elkins fight. He said the cut was one of the best hes had but like i said he said it was an awful camp otherwise, and he knew he only had one round in him. I agree he seems a bit tense maybe you can see it in his shoulders. After that fight he made the move to Florida so clearly something was amiss.

First time I've been on the betting threads so go easy on me. Here in Oz odds are different but we all share common wins and losses. I won pretty well last card on Masvidal and Shevchenko.

Anyway, IMO i think Herring is the backing of the night. She will take Grasso down in every round and get the decision.
With new rules U need deal damage also to score.
But Imo from the upset basket I choose Herrig instead of Hill to stab with small bet.

Can anyone confirm if new rules are in effect this week?
Not sure if this fully answers your question, but I found this: "According to data obtained by MMAFighting.com, New Jersey, Ohio, Missouri, Colorado, Virginia, Maryland, and South Dakota all voted not to adopt the new ABC rules in full."

I'm assuming Texas is using the new rules since it was not mentioned there

Wonder why Trujillo left. Most the old Zillians guys are still together and with Hooft.

Does anyone know where Melanson is now? Part of me betting AJ is down to him still working with Melanson.

If that boxing gym Abel is at is legit at all than confidence increase Abel. Vick's standup is not good, especially defensively. Ffs Glaico Franca was putting some hands on him while completely gassed

idk about all this camp switching for trujillo etc, but i bought out of my vick +130. trujillo is a pretty damned good fighter in rd 1, non-vegan or vegan. i think he has the edge earlier. more power (explosive), better wrestling, etc.

*edit* f it. i'm throwing a unit on trujillo now after buying out of vick previously. think vick loses rd 1 handily.
