Mendes actually impressed me striking as he is an elite level grappler with only a few fights and it was against the bantamweight king Cody G.
Also short notice IIRC.
 
watching footage of bojan is probably the only time i've ever laughed out loud during tape study.

Yea that fight was fine, but the ones before that one looked fairly so-so. The fight before the Garbrandt one he got outstruck and knocked down by a 4-4 fighter. His kicks looks decent and he varies his striking a lot, but he's still slow, gets hit too much and looks stiff when he throws.

Maybe he gets better fast, that's even reasonably likely, but he's still old and with not enough years of stand up training. Saenz ain't no world beater standing either, but he throws with intent and against someone with less the solid defense I think that might be enough.
 
The only strategy of Bojan seems to be slamming opponents to the ground, getting on top of them and tkoing with head punches. Perhaps not too sophisticated, but might hit if his odds get out of control as I expect.

Also perhaps it might be hard to judge whether this fighter is a "can crusher" based on data since most of his opponents have been mostly competing within a more limited environment thus having records that make them look worse than they really are.
Having said this, Christensen's fitness level will definitely be an advantage over Bojan nevermind the fact that the Serbian brute will have to fight at a lower weight category.

Lb only card for me. Man christiansen is parlay fodder but no one to play him with. Just hope lb is up on pp and from fox prelims on 365

That card is a trap especially HWs .
I spend 2 hours yesterday with tapes, blogs, wikis and YT . This is 50:50 I pass.
Plus I don't see any sense to bet on guys that lost to this bum Frankenstein also via sub lol .
My only bets goes to Yair , Lauzon.
Don't believe in sea lvl Held - I am from PL I was following his preparation blog for Diego fight. He spend like more than month in Mexico to prepare for this conditions and especially cardio. He's very talented prospect but Lauzon exp will be too much (Except some early luck sub ). Still love the kid and don't know why UFC test him so much instead of build his brand - young , explosive bjj etc should be feed by some 2:2 or new comers in division.

Also I read that some of you want to go big on this amateur women's fight, this is fockin coin flip- let me remind you summary of 2016 and all this " never wmmma again bla bla "
I better save money for 208 .
 
The biggest take away from the recap thread is that too many of us (including myself) force plays just to have something every event even though we don't like the bets. This cards sucks, don't bet on fights you wouldn't been betting on if it was on a better card. I'm only on Nina so far and I think that might be too much for me.
