In regards to NinjaCats post

We're allowed to discuss fights even if you're not definitely betting on them, discussing fights is often how I come about deciding what I'm going to bet on. People coming in all high and mighty for people talking about fights. I picked Hooker on my breakdown, I didn't say I was betting on him, just made my points why I think he'll win.

Anyway, I'll likely play Over 2.5 rounds in that fight, can't see either guy getting put away.
I love reading the discussions, digesting all the expert analysis & opinions. What I was getting at was when people just repeat the same points over and over clogging up the thread. We've got to sift through all that to get to the good stuff then.

Your complaining is clogging up the thread too my man.

If people have different opinions on a fight, there will be discussion. All I did was reply to people replying to and arguing my original points.

Man I need to go there.

I usually go to southpoint off the strip as there's less traffic but last time I went there was so much construction.

Westgate is nice too. The atmosphere is great on football Sunday but lines get crazy.

Where do you go watch the fights on PPV?

Usually watch at home or a friends. Unless I need to sit in sports book then I don't get to see.

Yea, Westgate during a big college or pro game is insane. They even have livebetting

Exactly. I'd rather it being "clogged" with fight discussion than people who aren't inputting anything coming in to complain about people discussing fights.

I'm really surprised the Ben 10 is the dog, I know Smolka gave him an epic beatdown but Herrera has been unimpressive in his UFC career so far. I'm not sure how Herrera wins this fight besides catching Nguyen with something big on the feet. Herrera can't wrestle and Nguyen has solid TDD. Sure Herrera has good BJJ but Nguyen is a brown belt and I don't think this goes to the floor. Nyguen is clearly the better striker as well.

Yeah, same point I made earlier in the thread. Herrera is slick once it hits the mat and he works well in the clinch but he actually lacks the offensive wrestling to threaten Nguyen as much as it would take me to back him. Nguyen is accurate as hell on the feet, both guys lack defence and eat shots but I mean you've got to go with the bigger puncher and more accurate striker in that scenario in my opinion at least.

Will potentially LB Herrera if he survives an early onslaught in round 1.

Before re-watching fights, in my head I favoured Herrera quite a bit.

I'll play Ben 10-Hererra ITD as long as the price isn't silly

I could be wrong but I'm shocked Herrera opened at +125.

It's freaking flyweight and if you dont have the gas to go 3 hard rounds and rely on that early finish, you'e gonna have a tough time against seasoned opponents.

His losses:
Ray borg:
Herrera impressed me against Borg. Borg is an energizer bunny with uncanny back taking abilities. Future top 5 fighter once his striking catches up imo. It was also short notice IIRC.
Ali Bag.
Top 5 guy and it was a war.

His win:
Joby Sanchez
I also am a big fan of joby Sanchez and surprised he was cut.
He gave reis all he can handle and practically ko'd him. Lost a decision. He'll be back in the ufc next year or two imo.
Herrera ko'd his ass.

To be fair though, Borg completely dominated Herrera and shut down all his sub attempts easily and took him down at will. Then Borg got dominated by Scoggins.

Bags was blasting Herrera with big shots on the feet and was having good success on the ground apart from a good Kimura attempt from Herrera.

I don't know much about Joby Sanchez but the fight was competitive before Herrera caught him with a big shot.

Ben 10 has looked good in recent years besides the Smolka beatdown. I think he's one of the best strikers in the division. I can just see solid path to victory for Ben 10 here.

Never thought I'd fight in another country, so far I don't feel jet lag, (16 hour flight) I was too green in my last fight, only training 5 years, I'm learning as much as I can (wrestling and BJJ), got fight on 3 weeks notice, I wasn't in a training camp, my coaches watched the tape, I just want to put on a good show, dont care about result

Confidence decrease Khalil when hes basically alluding to not being very ready for this fight

Was all over Pedro to begin with, even more confident now.

I think Camozzi is prideful with his clinch game and it'll definitely hit the clinch in this fight.

Camozzi will obviously own the range and maybe moreso since they're both southpaws.

Man we've gotta get lucky (assuming you're on Kelly too) and hope Kelly lands a judo trip and spends his time on top. Otherwise he's getting socked up and elbowed up if he can't get it down.

The price of +205 is good enough for me to take a chance at dad bod Kelly. Camozzi is as good as he's gonna get and he's not world beater.

On another note, I think Steve Montgomery was a similar body type and build with a southpaw stance. Kelly was getting busted up at times by that dude but was able to grab the clinch and land trips. Will be a dog fight I presume.

No, not on Kelly, but no real lean. Wanted to hear your opinion, thx

Herrera unimpressive? Did you watch the fights? You talk about his BJJ (which is damned impressive) but what about his huge ko in his win ? Hes shown some damned good skills in all 3 ufc fights.. they really fed him to the wolves with borg as debut and then Bagautinov.. and he was super competitive against Ali (who's top four in the division)

Shit might have to go all on Herrera and Khalil.

Two of the worst posters are on Pedro and Ben 10.

I've obviously watched his fights. Would you consider going 1-2 in UFC impressive? Sure Bags and Borg aren't easy match ups but he got dominated by Borg and I think you need to rewatch the Bags fight if you thought it was "super competitive", he lost every round in that fight too. And the Sanchez fight was very competitive until he Herrera got the KO. You are obviously on Herrera so I understand you defending him.
