If the UFC cuts fighters after winning because it was boring then it's no longer a sport and more entertainment like professional wrestling. That is the problem.
We just got done with arguably the best year for the sport.
People are only going to keep paying for the fights if ultimately they're entertaining. I don't see how people don't recognize this.
No. Rory put on a good show but Woodley was just backpedaling the entire time. The rest of the card was a bore.Question : Is UFC 174 worth downloading ? I couldn't watch last nightbut i was sort of interested by a couple of fights on the card , Rory vs Woodley in particular.
I looked at the results this morning and there was shitload of decision and from what i've been reading from you guys it sound like it was quite boring.
My adrenaline used to start pumping with every card when the gladiator music started. Now there are maybe a couple of fights a year where I give a shit enough for my heart rate to climb even a little.

I miss the days when fans talked about the sport, instead of cried about it
Seriously, can we have a "bitching and moaning" sub section please??
"Entertaining" is largely subjective.
The sport kinda sucks now, bottom line. just cause YOu still think it's the greatest thing since slice bread doesn't mean that it's the collective attitude. Oh, and let me guess: "If you don't like it, don't watch it."
I'm way ahead of you, as are most of the UFC's former fans.
I miss the days when a fight was a fight. Back when winning rounds wasn't the point. Back when two warriors went head up and let the chips fall where they may.
