You need guys who will bring integrity and cash into the sport.

GSP the GOAT

Conor the MONEY MAN

Brock the SAVAGE

Ronda can't fight worth a lick - never could - so she's jumping to pro wrestling.

So if you're WME, what do you have?

A bunch of champs that can't draw. A draw (CM Punk) that can't fight!

So if you're WME, what do you do?

Open the cheque book to GSP GOAT, Conor and Brock.

This is no time to by stingy.

Record low numbers on free events.

Embarrassing PPV numbers.

Figure it out, WME.

Now is the time for these fighters to build their personal brands. There is a common complaint about lack of promotion so these fighters who want that spotlight should be capitalizing on this time to self promote.

"A dogs breakfast" ?

"Cheque book"?

Are you British TS?....Do you know what a sleeping policeman is? and what it means to go see a man about a dog?

Good luck with that. You basically have to choose one or the other. Dana and the WME boys are about that cash though. Therefore, all integrity will be lost sooner than later.

Or you could just not be a bitch and enjoy the MMA and quit worrying about the numbers like a pencilneck

I think it's partly to do with how shit their promotion of fighters is. People should have been talking a lot more about Volkan than they were before fight night. He made his UFC debut in 2017 on short notice, beat 3 top 10 fighters and KO'd 2 of them in under 20 seconds. If you can't promote that then what the fuck are you doing?

Secondly I think MMA fans need to need to grow up and stop acting so entitled. Back in the day people used to pay money to watch exciting fighters and exciting fights regardless of any belts being involved, but now if a card doesn't have two belts on the line then the response hardcore fans give is "lol shit card, just gonna stream it" then blame the UFC for low PPV numbers. Hell, even if a card does have a couple titles on the line then sometimes it isn't good enough because one is between "manlets" or the undercard is "awful" when it turns out to have really solid fights on it.

I hope he isn't because the term is "Dogs dinner" and it would mean one of my countrymen got something wrong.
I would feel personal shame at that...and basically everything else he wrote.

Now is the time for the fighters to ban together to form a union. WME knows they need the fighters or their $4B investment isn't worth anything (UFC brand alone has really dropped in value the last couple of years).

Fighters ban together to form a union, with revenue sharing there wouldd be reason for all to work together for all to benefit (unlike the fighters working hard to make Dana and WME money while they're still on $12k/$12k).

During the hey day a union was hard to do without some of the big stars being the face of it. Since there aren't reallt big stars nowdays (that are active) it could be done with some middle-level guys spearheading it. I've long thought Conor would do it towards the end of his career as a final legacy builder but now realize he's just too self-focused to care. GSP could be the face of a union push but I'm not sure he'd be right for it either (too non-confrontational, not as well spoken, etc.)

Get 3-4 current champions (I could see Stipe, DC, Whittaker, MM, Nunes, Woodley, TJ all being good for the cause) and I bet it'd be easy to get half the recognizable names to join in the push. Conor has shown that there's money in mma, and that the fighters are only getting the tiny scraps. So time for the fighters to unionize and start getting a reasonable reward for their work and to quit lining the pockets of the owners while suffering long term damage.

I agree with pretty much all of this except for DC leading the charge. He just seems way too much of a company man now.

You hating on GSP... how original.

11 years without a loss, has beaten every man he's ever faced. Moved up a weight class and finished that champ. Both your opinion and arguments suck and are invalid.

My dog eats breakfast like a queen. Every meal is stacked like the Go Big press conference.

They won't do shit.

As long they can profit somewhere else, the product won't improve. it's up to the fighters to make matches fun but without any good payday that's hard to do; even Cole miller said it wasn't fun to fight fo the ufc.
