I was middling on the first one, dont hate it, dont love it, I recognize why its so beloved but it just didnt razzle my dazzles for whatever reason

I think it really benefitted a lot from Christian Bale's performance and him becoming a mega star in the following years. I love it and how they nailed the 80's setting

Christian Bale really carried that movie. It was a cool concept and story but it's all about his acting. Tremendous work.

Did I ever tell you about the time I was Patrick Bateman for Halloween? I wore a full suit and that damn rain coat that I splattered red paint on. It was the last time I went "out" on Halloween. Some stupid bar in Atlanta. It's still hot in Georgia in late October plus being around all those people in that rain coat that wouldn't breathe at all. I sweat buckets, It was one of the most miserable nights of my life
