UFC should cut Kevin Holland

And thats why you'll never be in a position to cut someone like Holland. Holland is useful. Fans know who he is, he has gimmicks (talking, being tall, kung fu), he's highly active, he can fight in two different weight classes and doesn't miss weight to my knowledge.

Holland says he wants to fight all the time and will fight anyone (which to this point, he has backed up, he has fought scary guys). The UFC wants fighters who fight. Not everyone can be the champion, so someone saying they don't care about the title doesn't matter.

Exactly and it's not just about talent level as well. Name value also means a lot. People are now going to know who RDR is because he just finished Holland in 3 minutes.

GM3 and Holland are two established and recognizable UFC middleweights.

You're absolutely right, beating them means something in terms of name value, and ripping through Holland is gonna look impressive to a lot of people.

Oh they will soon enough . His fodder arc is in full swing

Exactly, Holland is a versatile gatekeeper. He's a tool to bring credibility to fighters.

It is more likely a top ten ranked fighter gets cut than Holland.

Or just make him commit to a division and fight talent relevant to his capacities

Pretty tired of him tbh but I think Dana likes him and he wont be cut yet,.

The only things going against him at this stage are 1) his wage packet IF it precludes him from Apex Fight Nights, because he needs a step down and a win, and 2) even the commentators were stating "his back is against the wall" after so many recent defeats.

But I think he'll just end up getting a suitable stylistic fight next and one he should win handily. Barriault, Dusko or someone like that. It's worth the investment for the UFC to get him that win.

Kevin Holland is the new Cowboy Cerrone. even the WWE has jobbers, who else can you use to showcase rising stars? make them fight elite vets so they get destroyed? because firing guys for "not being the best" means that is what will happen. imagine if Peyton Talbott had to fight Figureido or Sandhagen instead of 37 yr old Raoni Barcelos. that's what you're asking for when you want to remove guys who aren't the best.

Keep him at 170. He usually gets overpowered at 185.

Kevin is probably overpaid.

I think UFC gets value from Kevin, but not great value.

Something like 150,000 show + 150,000 win might be better motivation to keep Holland motivated/focused.

Making 250k just to show up.

TS why you was become anger when he do nothing to you XSWL 🤣 Combatant Kevin he was yyds of reliability and quite sufficient gatekeeping IMHO

Seems like between his kung-fu striking back-ground, his crazy reach, non-stop trash talking abilities, blunt smoking training regimen, and just plain wanting to bang, that he would be an outstanding fit over in BKFC

UFC they was need throw him 2 maybe 3 bone 🦴 easy battle, easy monies. By then thread was exist for hyping combatant Holland upwards as if title run hhhh

Gonna be honest I'm always bummed to see his name on a card because he's just a space filler. But the UFC can ill afford to lose any type of name these days.

Look he’s popular and not winning all the time and he does grumpy interviews CUT HIM!!! Is that seriously how you think this works bucko?

I don’t think this is the organisation for “reliable dudes” (he isn’t reliable performance wise). We want to see the best.
Sorry to break it to you but the UFC is not nearly as "pure sport" as that, and it's only trending more in the other direction.

You say that to him like you aren’t a complete low wage nobody yourself 😂😂

Are YOU in the position to cut Kevin? Because your follow up seems to make you seem like you think you are important and knowledgeable.

It may not matter now, but he makes the ufc look amateur.

Oh of course. The thread title is “should ufc cut holland” not “are they likely to”.

It’s a damn shame that people like him get a contract over actual professionals
