UFC should cut Kevin Holland

They'll use him up until his confidence/fire is sapped (a tool which has lost its edge), then he'll get picked up by another, "lesser" org. There have been many guys who served a similar purpose in the past.

You say that to him like you aren’t a complete low wage nobody yourself 😂😂

Are YOU in the position to cut Kevin? Because your follow up seems to make you seem like you think you are important and knowledgeable.

It may not matter now, but he makes the ufc look amateur.
I'm not the one calling to cut fighters because I don't like them. I don't like Kevin Holland but it doesn't mean that I think he should be cut, nor does it follow any reasons why the UFC typically "cuts" people (I assume he means not resign, they rarely cut people who are well known like Holland).

I have experience promoting, so I know why the UFC doesn't cut Holland . He doesn't make the UFC look amateur, he is not important enough for that.

But sure, I guess the guys who work in the UFC have no idea who is valuable and who is not. They must really like Holland's smile if they book him 4 times a year and put him on their PPV main cards.

If you don't know why Holland isn't going to get cut after it was explained, then I don't know what to tell you. If you think I am some "nobody", then the guys who work for the UFC who are "somebodies" literally think otherwise from you.

Most people on sherdog don't know anything about business and probably never had a job that requires using your brain. So yes, that guy will probably never be in a position where he can fire someone from a job that has any importance (ie not burger king). You do not need to be a COO of a fortunate 500 company to understand when you fire someone.

Stop putting him on PPV's now, he's 1-4 in his last 5 and his best wins are against old past prime guys.

Holland probably has another los or two to go before he gets cut.holland vs gm3 or anders would be decent fights

Holland is mainly entertaining outside the Octagon. It's like he doesn't take fighting seriously.

Holland has talent but unfortunately for him, he has zero fight IQ and almost zero regular IQ.

I see your point but in reality there are plenty of fighters to fill, and Kevin filling a spot on a main card is just a waste of a spot at this point, I don’t think you realise how uninteresting he has become to fan base.

Maybe you can keep him around for short notice but everything he is involved in feels meaningless. I do see him being cut by end of the year.
Damn dude. Did Kevin bang your girl? Lot of hating coming from your way.

Why do you think you can speak for the fan base? You've seen a large scale poll on this subject or something?

He's the tall, black Cerrone. He'll end up 20-20 with UFC.

There are many worse fighters inside the UFC that should be cut before Holland does, Tony and Nick Diaz are still on the roster ffs....

He's on thin ice right now. Don't know if he will be cut going 1-4. He did give a fight to Khamz-Fatass

No reasons to cut him rn.
He probably made people lose money since RDR was being underrated due to his last performance.
But that's normal.

I don’t think this is the organisation for “reliable dudes” (he isn’t reliable performance wise). We want to see the best.
Good point, so let's start by cutting all the people Holland has beaten first right ?

He's reliable but he's always felt like someone just cashing a check to me. He's almost 50/50 on wins and losses too. Maybe it's just me but when I see guys or girls that have lost more than they have won, I always wonder why I'm watching them fight in the supposed best fight league in the world.

The problem is, UFC has too many cards to fill and you are stuck with a ton of filler fights. Holland is good for those kind of shows but they are fights just for the sake of fighting and filling a time slot.

Exactly and it's not just about talent level as well. Name value also means a lot. People are now going to know who RDR is because he just finished Holland in 3 minutes.
Never thought I would see Oversimplified quotes on Sherdog accounts. Nice to see it. That youtube channel is great! Agreed about needing guys like Holland.

I disagree. Kevin knows what 45-70 is. That alone should give him another chance.

They will definitely cut his pay. Kevin's aim is to fight as frequently as possible because his show money is at least $100k. As long as he can stack those show purses it's whatever to him. I bet he renegotiated after the Khamzat short notice for higher show so it makes sense to him. He figured out fighting frequently with an OK name amounts to decent payouts.

If I'm a matchmaker I need someone like Holland with a name to beef up cards, headline on short notice, and gatekeep for new UFC talent.. but not at the premium he's calling for.
