News UFC PPV's to now be $74.99 USD

I watch a couple with my friends every year so it prob wont affect those ones for me since we pitch in. At a $100 CDN it will affect the 9nest I'd buy just for myself. Unfortunately the price of just keeping my family alive has gone through the roof so I wont be able to justify spending that much on something just for myself. I wonder if this will bring back the old school UFC nights at the bar? Id be happy if that was the case.

I'm guessing easily 50% of Americans watching these PPV's are streaming for free. Really have no idea why anybody pays.
Well it is stealing. The prices are ridiculous but I’m not going to steal the product. I just don’t purchase it if the value is not there. And the value continues to get worse.

I swear I paid like $24.99 CAD for GSP vs Penn 1.. fucking ridiculous

Ah yes, Sky Sports and BT Sport my favorite channels here in America.

The PPV model is outdated in the age of streams. They should go the WWE route and just do a subscription that includes the PPVs (or maybe most, and do like 4 really big cards over the year). I'd buy a subscription, but I'll skip paying $75 for one card.

Makes sense to me

Did you know Dana white cashes more checks than anybody in the fight game

He pays a production team of hundreds constantly

Literally puts on fights every week for Free and you entitled pussies still complain

Lets do a roll call for people who are actually paid for a UFCPPV... anyone here?

I bet there's a ton of people here Who have never put a dime towards this product or its development... yet still have the nerve to complain.

It's funny how the people who complain about ppvs being too high are also the people who complain that fighter pay is too low

It's like… How do you think this whole fucking thing works? Do you think Dana is just pulling money out of his ass to put on fights?

I swear to God I read this shit all the time. "Dana should make the bonuses 100 K"
"Can't believe This guy's only getting paid half a million...."
"Dana should just pay him the 25 mil to fight Ngsnnou ..."
"Why is Dana White's house so big? Why is this driveway so long?"
"It's not supposed to snow in Vegas.... no fair!"

Stop stealing the Internet from your neighbor so you can steal a pay-per-view from Dana

actually keep doing it who cares

just don't bitch about fighter pay if you're not paying for the product or at LEAST buying the occasional UFC hot dog brander

You really don't get to have an opinion as a basement dwelling grifter because you literally have no skin in the game

I'm not going to claim I'll never buy another PPV, but at this stage it will be no more than two a year. Just not worth it, partly since there's no way to know ahead of time if a card will really be good. But also, the greed factor is very irritating.

When will US viewers get the kind of inclusive deals many other countries have where everything falls within a single subscription?

Ufc needs to ditch the ppv model. Either get them on ESPN with a commercial deal like every other major sport, or get a Fight Pass + with every event, fight night and “PPVs” for $25 a month plus the current library

paying $75 to watch a single event is such a stupid system
i like that or do a package deal, if you order this many you get 59.99... $75 is just stupid... but give the person who orders multiple some kind of deal

A lot of money for piss poor PPVs. Rewind 100 UFC PPVs and it would actually be worth it, but today? No thanks. The IFC product has been watered down badly and I would never consider spending a cent on a PPV today.

N I guarantee none that go to fighters

Dana whipping it out and showing to Jake Paul and others who dare sell ppvs.

Big corporations are going to big corporation...

WME/ESPN/Disney has run the numbers and they legitimately believe this change will maximize revenue.

Dana White is a figurehead/mouthpiece. He offers absolutely zero major input to corporate decisions.

Will I ever pay for a 75 dollar pay per view? Probably not.

Do I think UFC athletes are getting fucked over paywise? Absolutely. Do I fucking care? Absolutely not (unless TFerg or Francis wants to advocate on my behalf as to why I am underpaid) and then I will do the same for them.

Wow... you really don't know how a public for-profit company works, do you? Do you really think they are like "yeah this is good here"? The goal is always to make more.
We're not "public for-profit" companies. We're consumers. We don't care about their margins, we care about our wallets.
