News UFC PPV's to now be $74.99 USD

This might actually be the year when I start streaming the PPV cards. It never was a guarantee that the card wouldn't freeze or have some 'technical' issue.

$75 god damn. That's a phone bill or a internet service provider bill. Dana must really want people to pirate

if they had some kind of yearly or 6 month service at a reasonable rate i'd bite but $75 a pop? nah fuck em

"streaming"?, "freeze", 'technical' issue"?!?
You must be new in these here parts, Son!

getting a little ridiculous.

the membership + ppv model was annoying enough, but I still did it.

but, they keep increasing the ppv cost, plus my membership bundle went up recently, it's just getting silly.

isn't really a question of affordability for me, but principles. combine that with the fact that half the cards recently just aren't worth that much, I may be out on most of them now.

And once these prices go up, They are not going back down. The revenue stream would really have to take a massive hit for them to even consider dropping that price. Public relations they would never want to admit the revenue is down.

The MMA industry in America is not immune from economic inflation.

It's like don't want people to watch the fights ffs.
Dumb move in my opinion.

Plus tax makes it over $80. Damn
Yes it is I just remembered this. Although when I ordered one through Amazon I didn’t get taxed for some reason. Basically none of these cards are worth ordering at all anymore. I used to order 9 or 10 a year. Sometimes all of them. Now maybe three or four.

I just took a look at all the cards coming up in the next 3 to 4 months. Honestly there is not one damn thing on there that justifies $80 coming out of my bank account. Nothing.

I can't afford that, its way too much money. $75 is disgusting when you are having a PPV so often, they usually have 12 or 13 PPVs per year, its ridiculous.

75 might not sound like a lot but trust me over time it mounts up and mounts up and its a huge cost, its not like a one off fee, you have to keep paying it every month to watch. Absurd pricing.

like some said, that's literally entering territory for some bills, internet, phone, etc, depending who your provider is.

I think a lot of people are going to realize that and decide 3-4 hours of MMA just isn't worth that lol. especially with how ESPN+ in the States always seems to have stability problems during the events.

I remember I brought UFC 40 for $24.95 and they had 5% off if you booked before the day of the PPV.. so 5% off 24.95 (23.70)

UFC 40 was brilliant, well worth the money and great event, the prelims were like the main cards of todays PPVs (if not better). They put so much effort into the show, the way it was all set up, the lighting, the promos, the interviews, everything.

I pick and choose which PPVs to buy now because so many of them are watered down and not worth the price, I just can't justify paying so much for a lacking card. I now skip watching most of the PPVs, and just watch the Fight Night events and ESPN events. upping it to $75 is outrageous

Everyone keeps saying how they’re free. And how they get em for free. How in the FUCK is that even possible??

Honestly, the fans aren't powerless, if they stood behind their words and attitudes. Just don't buy them.

If people did and the UFC started only getting 10k or 20k buys per PPV, they would change their tune, and pricing, pretty quick.

But we all know (most) Sherdoggers... they'll just piss and moan and keep paying the Baldfather like it's a status symbol.
