News UFC PPV's to now be $74.99 USD

Rest of the world: subscriptions for everything! Pay a monthly fee, everything included!

UFC: subscriptions for access to buy our PPV but you still need to pay $75 after the monthly fee just to have the right to buy our PPV! This definitely makes sense and won't kill us down the road! We're dying on this hill, goddamn it!

A $15/month subscription service that includes everything would have millions of subscribers in the US alone - guaranteed money every month no matter what.

But hey if they insist on being stupid, what can we do about it? Aside from not buying PPVs, obviously. Which, at this point, most of us probably won't.

2021: Dana brags about having the most financially successful year in company history.

2022: Raises PPV prices.
Why does that not make sense to you? Obviously their numbers show they can make more money if they charge more, that the cost increase will more than offset the lost PPV buys. They are not a charity or a non-profit. If 2022 is even more successful, and their numbers show $79.95 would work even better, count on it for 2023. From their point of view, it makes perfect sense. They are clearly moving well beyond the "spend money to grow the sport" stage.

Holy shit, Dana is out of his mind. Viewership will probably decrease now. $70 was iffy for me unless someone like Oliveira, Jan, Glover, Yan or Izzy was headlining... now.... I'll have to invite a friend over and make them pay half.

I work in a medical clinic and they are used everyday in the medical industry.
Yeah I do too and it's because they're behind in technology.

(Sorry, I work IT FOR medical clinics)

Fax machines are still used...
This is literally only to prevent most people from being able to easily and securely send things. Companies want certain things to be nearly impossible for most people so that you don't actually do what you need to and they keep your money regardless.

Source: I work in IT and have set up fax systems for companies who have explicitly told me as much. "If we use email, it's too easy so we get overwhelmed, but with faxes nobody bothers to do it"

Dana gives the cards for free so I don’t know why you fucks would pay.

Doesn't bother me I've only paid for one UFC event in my life UFC 92. I get to watch all the events now for free as they are part of the cable package down here.

Has that gone up? What were they normally?

It's been that or more for Boxing.

This changes everything.

Ufc needs to ditch the ppv model. Either get them on ESPN with a commercial deal like every other major sport, or get a Fight Pass + with every event, fight night and “PPVs” for $25 a month plus the current library

paying $75 to watch a single event is such a stupid system
I agree

Looks like I'm going back to VPN. Tried to support the UFC but when they do this shit, gotta draw the line somewhere like others have said.

PPV can cost 1k for all i care, lmao. Who the fk pays for it

The sheer audacity lol
