On top of having to buy a ESPN plus subscription? Nah I'm good
This is ridiculous.
"We have record profits but aren't making enough money" doesn't actually make sense, but good try.Why does that not make sense to you? Obviously their numbers show they can make more money if they charge more, that the cost increase will more than offset the lost PPV buys. They are not a charity or a non-profit. If 2022 is even more successful, and their numbers show $79.95 would work even better, count on it for 2023. From their point of view, it makes perfect sense. They are clearly moving well beyond the "spend money to grow the sport" stage.
Wow... you really don't know how a public for-profit company works, do you? Do you really think they are like "yeah this is good here"? The goal is always to make more."We have record profits but aren't making enough money" doesn't actually make sense, but good try.
So why not charge $1000 for PPVs?Wow... you really don't know how a public for-profit company works, do you? Do you really think they are like "yeah this is good here"? The goal is always to make more.
Dont forget about the POTN bonus, making them $75k would screw their budget. They are doing this to increase fighter pay, right?
Enough consumers do pay it that makes it worth it for them.So why not charge $1000 for PPVs?
Greed is not good for consumers and we, as consumers, are not going to pay this.
I hope they pay you for shilling on Sherdog, but I have a feeling you're just one of those people who think rich folks are gods who we should never question
Then again people pay 100s for crappy seats at a live basketball game over watching it for a free with their buds on a high end modern TV. Some paradigms will continue as long as enough will pay.Ufc needs to ditch the ppv model. Either get them on ESPN with a commercial deal like every other major sport, or get a Fight Pass + with every event, fight night and “PPVs” for $25 a month plus the current library
paying $75 to watch a single event is such a stupid system
