News UFC On ESPN 10 Fighter pay

This wouldn't help those fighters get paid more. It's not about fighters developing, its about them getting paid shit just so the UFC doesn't risk them becoming stars elsewhere. That's why Greg Hardy was instantly signed by them, and the reason Dana won't let Anderson Silva go fight somewhere else despite the UFC admitting having no plans for him
They can fight out their contracts though and get offers from other promotions. The ufc can’t stop them from doing that.

Boxers just starting make like $2,000 per fight. You have to work your way up to good pay like any other professio. Not every douche/douchette who wants to be a fighter can get millions right off. Millennials can eat shit.
Boxers on the ESPN card this week made 3500...

You've made so many wrong ass assumptions all thread. Saying ufc wont cover medical and bellator pay near as much.
"The current pay structure under the deal sees fighters with one to three UFC fights earning $3,500. Fighters four to ten UFC fights on their record make $5,000. If a fighter has 11 to 15 bouts, they receive $10,000, while those with 16 to 20 bouts make $15,000. The top tier, for those fighters who have more than 21 UFC contests pays $20,000. Title challengers make $30,000 and champions receive $40,000."

The entry levels like Ivy who likely we never see again get more then you pretend is top.
So saying is like, should let you know its not an exact number. An extra 5,000 is the most anyone on that card made. Also when the guy posted the bellator numbers did you look? I said they weren't far off from the UFC Mid card guys, which they aren't. Also I bashed them for paying 2,000 to the low level dudes? So you're mad because I was slightly off on what most of them received for the Reebok pay (which is 3,500)? Then ignore the fact I'm saying they could make over twice that from their own sponsors?

The medical shit I admit I was wrong about, not sure what crawled up into your ass hole

The thing is what if they have 1 fight left, and the UFC is only offerning fights that might not be ideal? They could just fight out their contract, but it would require accepting whatever fight Dana throws at you. Which might not be an easy choice for some

Or fight may be an opportunity......

Shady practices should be eliminated of course......

I ignored it because it's a dumb dated idea.
"Their own sponsors" like they can and still do get, EX Cynthia was just posting on instagram for Manscape before the fight.

So you think an IG post is worth the same as having your logo/product advertised on TV? What do you think a company would pay more for? ask yourself lol

its never enough. humans will always want more.

they are free year round.
only have to work one week, with the media obligations and cutting weight.
by work, i mean doing shit you dont want to do.
look, I found a dummy.

Thems the brakes..

Would be better than watered down content. If their good enough they will make it to the big show eventually anyway.
Maybe, maybe not. Losing half the card means losing the espn money probably and why wouldn't they not continue to pay the rest what they're paying now?

Honestly I think it would set the sport back a couple of years because it would become even less attractive for athletes to move to mma

Yeah 2,000 dollar pay outs are dog shit fr. No excuse for that. But otherwise, they aren't far off what the UFC pays for mid card talent, but the fact bellator makes way less and still pays damn near the same for mid level fighters is shocking imo
If they wouldn't pay that, all of them would be in the UFC (or out of mma). Bellator is paying it to try to compete with the UFC, not because they want to.

There are some improvements though, PFL million dollar deals, One is on the rise. But it's still up to the ufc fighters to really do some about it.

Interesting how people a week before was complaining about how bad this card was and it was not worth watching but now complain they don't get paid enough. I think min pay should definitely go up but make sure you guys keep that same energy when Bellator pays their fighters a min of 1.5k. All I ask for is consistency.

Total is just under a million...

6 week training camp to only make 12k, plus paying your coaches/trainers etc.

Yeah that's crazy. Very low pay for some guys in bellator, but Mid-level guys don't get paid too bad, and can have sponsors to help out the pay difference. On top on all that, the UFC is way bigger, their pay should be a lot better, and it really isn't THAT much better for their mid-level guys

Yeah I just don't quite understand where this wave of liberal self entitlement is coming from. It's certainly not based on fact. Like you pointed out, boxers early in their careers make less than UFC fighters at the same level. For pros it's like 10 3min rounds, that's double the ring time compared to a UFC fighter. Main events are 12 rounds, which is 36min compared to UFC 25min max. Sheeple sensationalize boxers getting paid like canelo and Floyd. Wrong. Canelo and Floyd get paid like canelo and Floyd. And they are about as rare as Conor and GSP.
