UFC just signed a 8 billion dollar deal with Paramount. We can't be doing this sh*t anymore with weird, boring Co-Main events.

This is just absolutely disgusting. A terrible, boring, pillow fisted WMMA co-main followed by a 4 minute fight that ended in an eye poke. Is this 8 billion dollars in value, or am I missing something? UFC needs to get their sh*t together because this just can't slide anymore like the last couple of years.

I am personally tired of seeing WMMA fights in general, especially co-main events, we've learned from the last 10 years, that WMMA fights are not exciting enough to be a co-main or a main event. Make a new organization or something, because this is just not 8 billion dollars in value.

You are missing something. It's about the valuation. $7.7 billion over at years is double what the UFC makes with the ESPN deal. But the UFC production, advertising, and administrative costs remaining largely and it does not large payouts for someone like Dern. In other words, UFC is rewarded for controlling cost and consistent schedule, not putting out banger co-main events with more expensive fighters.

I like Virna because she seems like a cool and happy chick despite her genetic lottery misfortune, but yeah that fight only got to comain because everyone drools over Dern's butt cheeks, and they think they can market her on that. Honestly, women's matches are just like the WNBA, like watching Angel Reese trying to nail a layup on her 3rd mebound. If the UFC scrapped all their women's divisions and sent them all to Invicta, then WMMA would stand on it's own merit and we'll see just how successful or how invested in WMMA fans truly are. I challenge the UFC to put on an all-female card and see how well it sells. You couldn't give that shit away for free on TV.

And for every sloppy women's match fans have to struggle through, it's a match that could have taken place that affected rankings in the divisions people actually give a shit about. Put three women's matches on PPV card and that's about $20 down the toilet wasted on garbabge fights and time.

Fuck it. There are corners and refs, there's a doctor, there are gloves and this is day and age of equal rights meaning equal lefts. Merab vs Harrison or Pantoja vs Shevchenko to determine whether or not WMMA stays in the UFC.

MMA is a terrible time investment now unfortunately. UFC cards are usually around 7 hours long counting prelims etc. There are times where you might see 2 fights in an hour. Thats with cards almost every weekend, most fights ending in decision, obligatory WMMA, half of the fighters on most cards not even being known by hardcore fans. Its just very hard to justify following the sport week in, week out nowadays, the payoffs usually arent worth it.

I'm pretty sure most of us watch mainly out of habit and nostalgia for how we once felt about it now.
