Media UFC loses another top NCAA wrestling prospect to WWE

Wouldn't this be the pot calling the kettle black since you constantly bring up Dana whilst seething? Have some self-awareness, buddy.

I've got Fabia's number if you're interested.

Says the guy who cries every time Dana is spoken about negatively.

<mma4>

I'm glad you have Faber's number handy. You should use it more often. He's here to help you buddy.

This kid’s personality is something out of a comedy sketch trying to make fun of Italians.

Depends. They can make a lot more money though and have more opportunities when they enter. Especially in a case like this. It's a smart move.

I mean when it comes to labor rights.

The WWE literally does all the things the UFC does and MORE. Restrictive contracts, questionable revenue splits, labelled as independent contractors, monopolizing the industry… literally everything but worse. They work year round on the road with almost no vacation time and high pressure to perform weekly. They actively encourage the use of PEDs despite having several athlete deaths related to PED abuse.

The WWE gets away with so much more because of the stigmas attached to their performers.

Look it up. Vince makes Dana look like the tooth fairy.

whos the best d1 wrestler to enter mma and actually do well in the ufc? Mark Schultz is easily the most credentialed but he only fought once and then retired. My pick would be Hendricks, two time ncaa champ and he won the 170 title.
He didn’t fight in the ufc, but Cole Konrad became the first heavyweight champion in Bellator history. Sadly, he retired to focus on being a commodities broker.

I don't understand why people are shocked over why a person would pick a WWE career over a UFC/MMA one.
1. Healthier. I mean professional wrestling is tough and physically strenuous but MMA is an entirely different monster up there with football for amount of damage absorbed.
2. More money. The WWE overpays for people they want. It's a Vincent MacMahon trait that was picked up by his family.
3. More fame and exposure. I'm willing to bet average person would recognize John Cena over McGregor.
4. It opens up way more doors in the end.

Konrad is a two time ncaa champ, same as Hendricks and Randleman. Mark Schultz is a three time ncaa champ and Olympic gold medalist. Ed Ruth who fights for Bellator is also a three time ncaa champ.

I'm well aware both are garbage, and no it's not literally everything but worse. When you're in people's good graces then good things will happen. It can be on a case by case basis.

Anyways, no one was talking about any of that though. The guy made the right choice for his career right now by choosing what will make him more money and will give him exposure. That should be pretty obvious, but if it isn't then so be it.

It's nice that the WWE is getting more diverse by signing proud POCs, especially the Italian Americans, the most marginalized ones of them all

Genuine question for someone who doesn't watch WWE or any "professional" wrestling. What is the point of signing actual wrestlers when WWE and sort are more theatrics then a sport. Is it to keep the illusion off it being real?

yea WWE treats POCs like shit.... and they have ALWAYS been diverse they just treat them like shit as i said...

WWE doesnt want Pro wrestlers anymore they kinda just want Choreographed stunts... i know it might sound weird but they just want people to do what they are told not freestyle like before.

Smart choice by him. If you are an unproven prospect and you had both contracts in front of you, why would you ever sign with the UFC? Even if you wanna join the UFC you are better off gaining popularity in WWE first to stop Dana White from low balling the shit out of you

Can't blame him for wanting to make money off his own image, instead of letting the UFC do it and cut him out of the deal at the same time.

Dana's fighters are literally modern day gladiators and treated with about as much humanity as they were back then.

Looks like that guy from Jersey Shore :rolleyes:

This will probably be his gimmick in the WWE tbh lol.

Meh if they want to go to the WWE, they probably have no desire to actually fight so I don't think we're missing out.

That's not necessarily true. We don't know how he'll do in WWE or if the fans will like him. He probably could have been a world champion in the UFC. Well never know of course. But just because you're in the WWE isn't a guarantee you'll make millions.

Hello, Bigmoney4166. Even though we've never met before, I'd like to ask you a question.

Who's the chick in your avatar? I think that she's very sexy.

Reverse Image Search on Google says nothing except "Lady."

Def smarter to do wwe first.
