Imagine if you will that every UFC HW champ fought every other UFC HW champ in their prime. Which Champ would have the best record in the end. Here is the list of UFC HW champions (I'm not including interim champs, I only include the ones who held the REAL belt. I know that sucks, because prime Nog was a beast!):

Mark Coleman
Maurice Smith
Randy Couture
Bas Rutten
Kevin Randleman
Josh Barnett
Ricco Rodriguez
Tim Sylvia
Frank Mir
Andrei Arlovski
Brock Lesnar
Cain Velasquez
Junior Dos Santos
Fabricio Werdum
Stipe Miocic

Well if we're doing a Round Robin of UFC HW Prime Champs, I'd have to give this one to either Barnett or Mir.

Cain is still UFC GOAT imo. He just needs to avenge his loss to Werdum at sea-level though.

Shame he wasted his prime with stupid rematches and injuries

Healthy, prime Brock. Plus he can roid like the rest of this list???

I'm sorry, but Randy Couture having the "real" belt over Nogueira is a crock of bullshit marketing.
Nog was the UFC HW champion during that time frame.

Personally, I have Cain as UFC HW GOAT:

Cain would be:
8-2 vs Coleman
10-0 vs Smith
7-3 vs Couture
8-2 vs Rutten
9-1 vs Randleman
7-3 vs Barnett
7-3 vs Rodriguez (his prime was a very short window, but he was legit in that window.)
7-3 vs Sylvia
8-2 vs Mir (sorry, never been super impressed by Mir)
7-3 AA
8-2 Lesnar
6-4 JDS
5-5 Fabricio
6-4 Stipe

So I have prime, sea level Cain at:

103 - 37 - 0 vs all other HW champs.

No one would be wrong since he wont ever know, but i think Josh Barnett would have a legitimate shot. His catch wrestling and submissions are absolutely phenomenal and he had legitimate standup and has only been KO'd three times in his very lengthy career.

fact!

JDS has the best record in UFC HW History and is the best or 2nd best UFC HW ever.

Barnett truly was great and is underrated, so I'll consider his hypothetical record for fun:

Barnett would go:
7-3 vs Coleman
10-0 vs Smith
7-3 vs Couture
7-3 vs Randleman
7-3 vs Rutten
7-3 vs Rodriguez
6-4 vs Sylvia
7-3 vs Mir
7-3 vs AA
6-4 vs Lesnar
3-7 vs Cain
4-6 vs JDS
5-5 vs Werdum
4-6 vs Miocic

So I have Barnett at:

87- 53 - 0 against all other HW champs

Cain in his prime was the scariest mofo alive imo, and I think few on that list could beat him.

You're looking at guys now, not in their primes

4 loses to a dude he wrecked, 2 to Mir, 2 to Coleman who is a wrestler that can't get him to the ground, same with Couture

And 2 to Lesnar too, what is this dude

Miocic and Reem, the only 2 who I think would gave him a fight due to they TDD and great striking

Not true. If I was looking at guys now, I'd have Cain beating every guy pre JDS at 10-0.

I'm pretty sure current Coleman couldn't beat Cain.
